This role involves supervising students, supporting their academic needs, managing daily routines, and fostering positive relationships. The teacher will contribute to the program's mission by extending the warmth and care of home, ensuring that each child feels valued and supported in their growth and development. <span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(67, 67, 67); font-weight: bold\">Student Supervision and Engagement</span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Greet students and manage their check-in/check-out process.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Establish and enforce expectations for behavior and routines.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Facilitate academic support, including homework assistance and guidance.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Plan and conduct engaging activities aligned with the program’s objectives.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Classroom Management</span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Prepare the room for daily activities, including setting up materials and ensuring a safe environment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Supervise students during recess, monitor bathroom use, and maintain overall classroom cleanliness.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Conduct a final sweep of the room to ensure all personal belongings are collected and the space is clean.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; Hourly rate ranges between $16-$18 (commensurate with experience). This role is not eligible for benefits but does accrue Self-Care Time (SCT) per school policy.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Required Hours</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Extended Care operates during the following times:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Morning Care Hours:</span> 6:45 - 8:00 AM (Monday through Friday)</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Afternoon Care Hours:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 2:45-6:00 PM</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Wednesday: 2:00-6:00 PM</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Shift end times may vary depending on daily student attendance and required staff-to-student ratios. There are also several half days throughout the school year.
