    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>As an <strong>Assistant Plant Manager</strong>, you’ll get to assist in managing total plant operations and delivering superior customer satisfaction by driving results and exceeding expectations in the key areas of safety, service, quality, and cost. This role is vital in helping plant leadership both when and when they aren’t available.  </p>\n<h2>What You'll Do</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage the work of all production employees</li>\n <li>Oversee production and shipping schedules based on availability of raw and finished goods</li>\n <li>Provide hands-on leadership as a working manager</li>\n <li>Directly responsible for all employment decisions at the facility</li>\n <li>Support plant administration to ensure compliance with established policies</li>\n <li>Responsible, in consult with Plant Manager, for the cost and yield performance of the Plant in partnership with the overall P&L </li>\n <li>Support and implement cost-control initiatives and process control within the Plant</li>\n <li>Continually review operations activities, including local transportation activities to maintain compliance with all Federal, State, and local laws (OSHA, DOL, DOJ, EPA, FD)</li>\n <li>Drive safety improvements across the Plant</li>\n <li>Maintain critical quality and raw material utilization standards to maintain customer satisfaction and Plant profitability</li>\n <li>Provide leadership to Plant staff and effectively motivate, delegate, and monitor their activities</li>\n <li>Assist with recruiting and to train and develop all staff</li>\n <li>Drive efficiencies through proper transportation scheduling, dispatch, and driver management </li>\n <li>Arrange for necessary repairs in order to restore service and schedules for Fleet vehicles and trailers</li>\n <li>Relay work orders, messages, and information to or from drivers, supervisors</li>\n <li>Confer with customers or supervising personnel in order to address questions, problems, and requests for service</li>\n <li>Monitor personnel and/or equipment locations and utilization in order to coordinate service and schedules</li>\n <li>Record and maintain driver files and records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, and other dispatch information</li>\n <li>Oversee all aspects shipping/receiving functions including inventory and the maintenance of inventory</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Need</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree preferred </li>\n <li>3+ years in a plant/warehouse supervisory role</li>\n <li>Familiarity with private fleet management/transportation is helpful</li>\n <li>Expert people management capability including non-exempt production workforce</li>\n <li>Experience managing safety performance and programs</li>\n <li>Understanding of supply chain practices and metrics</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What We Offer</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive Pay, Holiday Pay, and Daily Pay – Access to your earned wages before payday! </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Referral Bonuses </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Long-Term Career Advancement</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Paid Time Off </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life, AD&D, and Short-Term & Long-Term Disability insurance for Eligible Full Time Employees </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>401(k) Retirement Plan </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Great Team Environment </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What It's Like</h2>\n<p>48forty Solutions is the largest pallet management services company in North America!
