    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Certified Clinical Medical Assistant</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Evergreen Family Medicine is committed to providing excellent care for your family with clinics in Roseburg, Sutherlin and Myrtle Creek Oregon.  Evergreen Family Medicine serves outpatient needs, including Urgent Care, Family Practice, Women’s Health, and Occupational Health.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Evergreen Family Medicine is a Drug Free Workplace. All candidates that are offered employment will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">*CCMA certification <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">required</span> for this position* </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities and Duties:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Room patient for provider</li>\n<li>Take vitals, check meds and patient history</li>\n<li>Set up paps</li>\n<li>Clean rooms</li>\n<li>Assist with surgical procedures; set up room, stitch removal, ear wax removal, injections, assist with circumcisions and other surgical procedures</li>\n<li>Set up and complete EKG’s and NEB tx/spirometry's</li>\n<li>Complete lab procedures; quick-strep, mono, hemacult, UA dips, and prepare labs for send outs</li>\n<li>Monthly QA’s; record daily temps of refrigerator</li>\n<li>Clean utensils and be able to operator autoclave</li>\n<li>Give immunizations and complete proper paperwork</li>\n<li>Weekly order &amp; stock supplies</li>\n<li>Triage calls and make appropriate call backs for provider</li>\n<li>Complete medicine refill requests and fax or call in when needed</li>\n<li>Set up mammograms and dexa appointments</li>\n<li>Set up US, CT, MRI, Stress, Echo Testing, etc.</li>\n<li>Complete patient notification for normal lab &amp; x-ray results</li>\n<li>Calling lab, etc. for results</li>\n<li>Scheduling appointments only if requested by doctor</li>\n<li>Know and be able to use ICD-10 coding on labs &amp; diagnostics</li>\n<li>Call drug reps; check on drug supplies and expiration dates</li>\n<li>Document and scribe patient visits </li>\n<li>Other duties as directed by your manager</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications and Skills:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School Diploma or GED</li>\n<li>One year work experience as a CCMA</li>\n<li>Valid Oregon CCMA</li>\n<li>EMR/HER experience</li>\n<li>Current BLS certification</li>\n<li>HIPAA Knowledge</li>\n<li>Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing</li>\n<li>Administer medications accordingly as directed by the provider</li>\n<li>Assess patient needs and document accurately</li>\n<li>Set priorities for nursing action in a sequence according to patient needs</li>\n<li>Communicate with the provider and other nurses and team members to ensure the patients well being</li>\n<li>Teach patient appropriate health information and share written informational material</li>\n<li>Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment for patient and staff according to policy and procedures</li>\n<li>Participate in economical utilization of supplies</li>\n<li>Ensure equipment is maintained in a safe and clean manner</li>\n<li>Experience taking manual vitals (blood pressure, pulse, respirations)</li>\n<li>Ability to perform basic clinical duties(vitals, injections, specimen collections, EKGs, swabs, cultures)</li>\n<li>Minimize non-productive time and fill slow periods with activities that will enable you to prepare to meet the future needs of EFM</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical requirements:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</span></li>\n<li><span>The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; and reach forward with hands and arms. </span></li>\n<li><span>The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, or crouch. </span></li>\n<li><span>May be exposed to patients with infectious diseases.</span></li>\n<li><span>Must be able to lift up to 15 - 25 pounds at times.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p>Our culture and values are every employee’s responsibility: The needs of our patient come first S.P.I.R.I.T</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stewardship</li>\n<li>Patient &amp; Population Focused Health Care</li>\n<li>Integrity</li>\n<li>Respect</li>\n<li>Innovation</li>\n<li>Teamwork</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Benefits:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Health, Dental, Vision benefits</li>\n<li>Life Insurance</li>\n<li>401k with a company match up to 6%</li>\n<li>Paid Time Off</li>\n</ul>",
