Overview Why We Need Your Talents The Training and Organizational Development Specialist is responsible for providing educational support and learning opportunities by assisting with the preparation, presentation, facilitation, monitoring, evaluating and documenting of training activities for the organization. Their duties include speaking with department heads and human resource personnel to determine training needs, implementing training programs, revising company procedures and reviewing data from previous training programs to determine their success. Responsibilities Where You'll Make an Impact Facilitating new hire orientation and employee development training programs. Offering specific training programs to help team members maintain or improve job skills. Delivering group and individual instruction and training. Presenting information, using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role-playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos and lectures. Formulating training outlines and determining instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops. Organizing and developing, or obtaining, training procedure manuals and guides and course materials such as handouts and visual materials. Providing administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs. Evaluating the effectiveness of training and development programs, and utilizing relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changes in instructional objectives and methods. Arranging communications about new courses, development programs and training events. Organizing training updates and changes when needed. Maintaining team member training records. Tracking and reporting on compliance training requirements. Establishing and maintaining relationships with external training vendors. Participating in the recruitment of volunteer trainers as appropriate. Ad-hoc requests and other duties as assigned. Skills You'll Need to Succeed Organizational development experience Seeking an eager learner to support our team while developing foundational skills in training and casino industry. Teaching and facilitation skills Excellent written and oral communication skills Exceptional organizational, time management and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community Attention to detail and follow-through Self-motivated and assertive with a can-do attitude Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Qualifications A Few Must-Haves: Bachelor’s degree in related field At least one (1) year of training experience Must be able to comply with all state gaming regulations, which may include obtaining a license.
