(JMS) is a vital member of the <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Quality Team</span> and is a diverse high paced position with the following primary responsibilities:</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities include:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead and enforce compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements</li>\n<li>Promote a strong safety culture through coaching, training, and daily engagement</li>\n<li>Train, mentor, and develop Quality Control personnel to ensure timely, thorough, and prioritized inspection execution</li>\n<li>Manage team performance including timecards, PTO, reviews, and disciplinary actions</li>\n<li>Ensure accurate time and production reporting in ERP (Epicor) and eQMS (Babtec) systems</li>\n<li>Schedule and direct inspection workflow based on production needs and operations priorities</li>\n<li>Communicate accurate status of critical inspection activities to production, project management, and leadership</li>\n<li>Maintain accountability for meeting departmental deadlines and commitments</li>\n<li>Oversee inspection activities across all production areas including incoming, machining, forming, welding, assembly, finishing, passivation, and final inspection</li>\n<li>Perform and support inspections as needed, including reviewing drawings, verifying dimensions, and assisting with part identification</li>\n<li>Ensure inspection of materials, in-process work, and finished products meets project and specification requirements with proper documentation</li>\n<li>Maintain and control Material Test Reports and quality records, including review, scanning, and filing</li>\n<li>Ensure all non conformances and deviations are properly documented and processed</li>\n<li>Maintain calibration of inspection and testing equipment, including coordination of third-party services as required</li>\n<li>Maintain working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (ASME, AWS, ASTM, etc.) and required certifications (AWS CWI, SNT-TC-1A)</li>\n<li>Develop and improve procedures, work instructions, and process flows to reduce variation and improve efficiency</li>\n<li>Participate in and drive continuous improvement initiatives</li>\n<li>Interface with customers, third-party inspectors, and internal teams to ensure alignment on quality requirements</li>\n<li>Support inspection operations through procurement of tools, materials, and supplies</li>\n<li>Maintain organization and housekeeping standards within inspection areas</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 5 years Leadman or better supervision teams 3 or greater employees.</li>\n<li>Strong communication skills; verbal, written, and interpersonal.</li>\n<li>Ability to use a tape measure and use construction math and machining math to complete inspections</li>\n<li>Ability to read and interpret engineering fabrication / machine drawings and documents such as codes, standards, safety rules and procedure manuals.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with welded metal fabricated products including mild carbon steel and stainless steels</li>\n<li>Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, &amp; Outlook</li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively &amp; efficiently with team members on multiple projects simultaneously</li>\n<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as a logical thought process</li>\n<li>Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.</li>\n<li>Desire to learn and to continue developing knowledge and skills</li>\n<li>Knowledge of fabrication processes such as bending, punching, welding, etc…</li>\n<li>Experience with Codes of Construction AWS D1.6, D1.1, ASME Section IX</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Possess a minimum of 10  years of combined visual/dimensional inspection and NDE experience </li>\n<li>AWS CWI</li>\n<li>Knowledge of ERP software: JMS utilizes Epicor.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education</span></p>\n<p>                                                                                                       </p>\n<ul>\n<li>High School Diploma or GED</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-style: italic\">Jim Myers &amp; Sons is an Equal Opportunity Employer</span></span></p>",
