About the Job:
Kent is looking for an GL Accounting Manager on a permanent basis based in Mumbai.
Skills and Responsibilities
Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts, Bank accounts and follow up on open items
Calculate and post accruals for expenses and provisions based on business inputs.
Perform depreciation run and reconciliation activity as per defined procedures.
Documents current-state and future-state processes, identifies control gaps and inefficiencies, and coordinates remediation plans
Perform monthly intercompany account reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and balanced.
Good understanding on the end-to-end month ends close activities.
Perform cash application and Netting process for ICO customers/ICO Vendors
Ensure accurate working and posting of Rule based journal entries
Create, maintain and follow the process documentations as per the target operating model
Driving process improvements and standardization initiatives
Exposure to transitioning of accounting processes from overseas sites/locations
Setup governance mechanism(frequency) and the metrics to be reported in consultation with site controllers
Proactively identify opportunities which can be transitioned to shared services and setup the execution plan
Maintain a problem solving approach.Assist with as-building deliverables In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Economics,
Masters is an added advantage.
10-12 years of experience in Shared Serviced environment under the Record to Report tower
Communication:
Excellent oral and written communication and skills
Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
Behavior/ Core Competencies:
Leadership, Decision Making & Delegation
