    "description": "<h2>Summary</h2>\n<p>Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP is looking for a Knowledge Management Attorney - Finance based out of our New York office to support our Finance practice group. Willkie is an elite international law firm of approximately 1,300 lawyers located in 16 offices in six countries. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Knowledge Management Attorney (KMA) for the Finance practice group will play a critical role in supporting the Finance practice by developing, implementing and maintaining practice group knowledge management resources, document drafting, legal education, thought leadership, marketing, and innovation projects. This role requires strong expertise in leveraged finance transactions at a large law firm, excellent drafting and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Willkie, we believe great people are the key to our success. If you are looking to work in a friendly, collaborative environment that affords unique opportunities to expand your professional development, this role is for you.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Collaborate with leadership within the Finance practice group to assess KM needs, define and implement a strategy to address them, and establish mechanisms for regular review of the strategy and its execution.</li>\n <li>Draft, revise, and manage model documents, internal and client-facing memoranda, alerts on legal issues relevant to the Finance practice, process checklists, and other necessary knowledge assets in coordination with practice area lawyers.Aggregate, curate, and contribute content to internal knowledge repositories and resources for the Finance practice group, including articles, presentations, client alerts, positioning the Firm as a thought leader in the Finance practice area and legal innovation.</li>\n <li>Collaborate closely with lawyers in the Finance practice group to gather and maintain deal experience data utilizing the Firm’s experience platform and deal intelligence tools.</li>\n <li>Advocate for and facilitate adoption of knowledge management resources and tools within the Finance practice area, and ensuring content within the system remains current.</li>\n <li>Stay abreast of recent legal developments and market trends in the Finance practice area and share pertinent information with the practice group.</li>\n <li>Spearhead legal knowledge projects, technologies (including AI), and systems tailored to the Finance practice area.</li>\n <li>Identify training needs specific to the Finance practice area and collaborate with attorneys, talent, and business development to organize, design, and deliver pertinent training sessions.</li>\n <li>Foster collaboration with peers in other practice areas to exchange best practices in knowledge management.</li>\n <li>Cultivate relationships with industry peers, legal tech providers, and other stakeholders pertinent to the Finance practice area.</li>\n <li>Attend conferences, seminars, and events to remain updated on industry trends and foster knowledge sharing.</li>\n <li>Willingness to work beyond regular hours and travel, as necessary.</li>\n <li>Serve as a source of legal expertise and contribute to fostering a culture of legal innovation within the Firm.</li>\n <li>Special project and duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school with an active bar license in good standing required. </li>\n <li>At least 5 years of experience practicing law in the Leveraged Finance (or similar) group at a large law firm.</li>\n <li>Advanced proficiency in researching and drafting legal documents pertinent to a sophisticated finance transactions practice, and good working knowledge of emerging market trends and recent case law impacting lenders in the private credit or broadly syndicated loan markets.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with knowledge management and legal innovation practices (preferred).</li>\n <li>Advanced proficiency in the English language, including strong writing, grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills.</li>\n <li>Strong training skills and familiarity with best practices.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in utilizing legal research techniques, online research tools, and legal research databases.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>ADA Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to sit at a desk most of the working day and walk short distances</li>\n <li>Needs manual dexterity, speed and accuracy in handling office equipment</li>\n <li>Ability to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption</li>\n <li>Ability to work in close proximity to other individuals</li>\n <li>Ability to carry light objects, e.g., files, small objects and supplies a short distance</li>\n <li>Must be able to lift, carry and move objects 25 lbs.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Employment Status</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Exempt</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Pay Range</h2>USD $220,000.00 - USD $280,000.00 /Yr.\n<h2>Pay Range Statement</h2>\n<p>The salary range for this role represents the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications and location.
