You&rsquo;ll start every job with safety first by inspecting your workplace, and your equipment. To thrive in this role, you must be able to provide welding and fabrication needs with emphasis on maintenance inspections, adjustments and repairs. The mine is owned and operated by Hecla Mining Company, headquartered in Coeur d&rsquo;Alene, Idaho. Established in 1891, Hecla has a rich history as a distinguished and respected precious metals producer. Every hire is provided MSHA training in the first 4 days on the job. We also provide department-level training on not just what to do, but safety, as well.&nbsp;</span></li><li style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Apply your mechanical aptitude in equipment maintenance and repair and complete required maintenance reports and logs.</span></li><li style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Working on a remote island and living in a mining camp environment away from home if you are not based in Juneau. (Tooling required for the position to be discussed during the interview process)&nbsp;</li><li id=\"isPasted\">Must be comfortable welding components using multiple different methods in various positions (vertical, horizontal and overhead)</li><li id=\"isPasted\">Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws using mag and dye testing.</li><li style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">You will be required to perform work area inspections before every job, then prioritize the safety of your work space before you get started.&nbsp;</span></li><li style=\"font-size: 14px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
