Overview
LMI is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Analyst and Researcher to join our team supporting the Department of War. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis and research on future space-based threats and capabilities. This role requires a deep understanding of the current and emerging space and counterspace landscape, with a focus on potential adversaries' capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in intelligence analysis, particularly in the aerospace and defense sector, and will be adept at translating complex technical information into actionable intelligence for senior decision-makers.

Responsibilities

Threat Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis of foreign space and counterspace capabilities, including satellite systems, launch vehicles, and ground-based assets.
Research and assess emerging technologies and their potential application to future space-based threats, including anti-satellite weapons, space-based sensors, and orbital warfare systems.
Author and disseminate intelligence products, including briefings, reports, and threat assessments, to inform senior leadership and support mission planning.
Utilize a variety of intelligence sources, including GEOINT, SIGINT, MASINT, HUMINT, and OSINT, to conduct all-source analysis and produce comprehensive assessments.
Engage with partners in the intelligence community and the Department of War to share information, collaborate on analysis, and support integrated planning efforts.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Intelligence Studies, a STEM discipline, or a closely related technical field.
Experience: 8+ years of experience in intelligence analysis, with a focus on the aerospace and defense sector.
Strong understanding of space systems, orbital mechanics, and the space domain.
Proven ability to conduct all-source intelligence analysis and produce high-quality intelligence products.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with intelligence analysis tools and databases.
Preferred
An advanced degree in a relevant field.
Experience working in a Special Access Program (SAP).
Knowledge of specific foreign threat systems, such as ballistic missiles, hypersonic glide vehicles, and fractional orbital bombardment systems.
Clearance
Active TS clearance with the ability to gain SCI and SAP access. Work is primarily conducted in a secure, onsite customer environment.
Target salary range: $122,000 - $211,000
