Starting rate is $27.86/hour if not certified by the Maine Criminal Justice Academy, or 28.63/hour if certified, plus shift and specialty differentials. Lateral entry pay may be considered for exceptionally qualified certified police officers.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Police Officers report to the shift Sergeant and are responsible for the day-to-day law enforcement, community policing and security service delivery for the assigned shift.
