    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p>The&nbsp;<strong>Accessioning Technician</strong> is responsible for sample receipt, accessioning and rework within the laboratory. He or she receives samples, confirming the integrity of the &lsquo;chain of custody&rsquo; and other receiving criteria, and prepares samples for further processing.<br><br><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li dir=\"auto\">Open all delivered lab specimens verifying sample identity and testing requirements are met</li><li dir=\"auto\">Log specimens into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) ensuring accurate demographic and testing request entry</li><li dir=\"auto\">Maintain positive specimen identification through the use of barcodes and &lsquo;Chain of Custody&rsquo; procedures</li><li dir=\"auto\">Aliquot specimens for initial requested testing and facilitate delivery to appropriate laboratories</li><li dir=\"auto\">Store specimens per storage requirements allowing for ease of location of samples post-initial testing</li><li dir=\"auto\">Aliquot and facilitate delivery of specimens to appropriate laboratory section for additional, repeat or confirmation testing as directed through the LIMS system or by laboratory leadership</li><li dir=\"auto\">Comply with all individual and team and laboratory safety and quality procedures and requirements</li><li dir=\"auto\">Verify samples/specimens for discard through Horizon Notify Shipping/Receiving/QC Departments of low stock and/or needed supplies</li><li dir=\"auto\">Participate in process improvements, including process definition, measurement analysis, and implementation of controls</li><li dir=\"auto\">Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals&nbsp;</li><li dir=\"auto\">Participate in data collection efforts within the laboratory</li><li dir=\"auto\">Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill</li><li dir=\"auto\">Communicate with coworkers, clients, vendors, and visitors professionally and respectfully</li><li dir=\"auto\">Ensure a tidy/clean workspace at all times</li><li dir=\"auto\">Other duties as required and assigned</li></ul><p><strong>A Successful Candidate Must Possess:</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field preferred</li><li>Relevant laboratory experience strongly preferred</li></ul><p><strong>Schedule:</strong></p><ul><li>Tuesday - Saturday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm</li></ul><p><br></p><p>Aegis Sciences Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer</p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
