Our assistant teachers play a key role in supporting teachers and classrooms, helping children feel safe, cared for, and ready to learn.</p><p>We’re looking for warm, dependable Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our team and partner with teachers in creating a strong foundation for children - spiritually, emotionally, socially, and academically.</p><p>What You’ll Do<br>\nAs a Preschool Assistant Teacher at MCP, you’ll:</p><ul><li>Support the teacher in creating a nurturing, Christ-centered classroom where children feel loved, safe, and encouraged to grow.</li><li>Assist in implementing engaging, age-appropriate activities and daily routines.</li><li>Provide hands-on support with classroom set-up, clean-up, and maintaining a safe, organized environment.</li><li>Supervise children during play, snack, rest, and transition times, ensuring safety and positive interactions.</li><li>Build caring, supportive relationships with children, parents, and staff.</li><li>Model Christ-like behavior and share the love of Jesus in age-appropriate ways.</li><li>Assist with child assessments, record keeping, and preparation of learning materials as directed by the teacher.</li><li>Work collaboratively with your co-teachers and the MCP team to provide high-quality care and learning experiences.</li><li>Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events as needed.</li></ul>",

          "text": "<ul><li>A love for Jesus and a heart for children and families.</li><li>A warm, welcoming, and professional presence.</li><li>A cooperative, flexible attitude and willingness to serve.</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with both children and adults.</li><li>An interest in early childhood education and a desire to learn and grow in the field.</li><li>Meets Title 22 requirements for assistant teachers&#xa0;in a licensed child care center.</li></ul><p>Physical Requirements<br>\nTo ensure safety and active engagement with children, this role requires the ability to:</p><ul><li>Stand, walk, kneel, and sit on the floor for extended periods.</li><li>Lift and carry children up to 40 pounds.</li><li>Support and supervise children during active play, both indoors and outdoors.</li><li>React quickly in emergencies and provide basic first aid if needed.</li></ul><p>Other Requirements</p><ul><li>Minimum of 2 units in Early Childhood Education/Child Development required; 6 units preferred. Candidates with only 2 units must provide proof of ongoing enrollment each semester until 6 units are completed.</li><li>6 months of experience in a licensed child care center preferred</li><li>Current CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).</li><li>Record of immunizations: current TB test clearance, MMR, DTaP.</li><li>Clear Live Scan and Criminal Background check.</li><li>Able to work a consistent weekly 8 hour schedule within center hours (7am–6pm).</li></ul>",
