In addition to care and assistance tasks, once trained by physical therapists to perform Restorative Aides assist residents with: active or passive range of motion; splint or brace assistance; scheduled toileting; bladder retraining; transfers to bed mobility; walking, dressing, grooming; eating or swallowing; amputation/prostesis; and &nbsp;communication. Provides restorative services including ambulation under the direction of the Physical Therapist.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Instructs and assists residents in following rehabilitative program established by the Physical Therapist.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><br></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Minimal Education:</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination and experience preferred.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Minimal Experience:</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Experience in geriatric restorative care is preferred.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Other Qualifications:</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Completed the Certified Nursing Assistant program and has a current state certification, or graduate of a COTA or PTA program.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Minimum age of 18 years or older is required for this position due to Department of Labor regulations</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><br></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><br></span></p><p><br></p></div>\n",
