Join our team to start your career in social services while learning from the best experts in the field.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>S:US offers<strong>: Flexible scheduling </strong>and boasts a 10-percent internal promotion rate organization-wide!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>The minimum and maximum salary for this position is $23.00 per hour.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Developmental Disabilities Division believes that our role in supporting people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities is to live meaningful lives as determined by the person. All people shall live a life with dignity conforming to each personal value system. Our mission is to accomplish this with well-trained staff, access to quality health care, clinical support, and a clean and safe home.</p>\n<p>The Shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the people have the support and resources necessary to live meaningful lives, and that they align with their needs and aspirations within their respective program and communities. He/she/they will monitor and ensure active adherence to all plans for each person supported with intellectual/developmental disabilities. The Shift Supervisor will ensure proper support is in place and necessary resources are made available to Direct Support Professionals to ensure proper adherence to person supported scheduled of activities.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>The Shift Supervisor serves as a role model to staff and people supported and will help to develop best practices to support both the person supported and Direct Support Professional.</u></strong></p>\n<p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:</p>\n<p><u>Person Centered Planning</u>• Ensures that a person-centered focus is used to provide care and support by all staff who work within the program actively seeking out different approaches.• Promotes the independence and self-determination of individuals, utilizing person-centered practices that focus on the individuals’ strengths and preferences while simultaneously addressing their needs.• Promotes participation in activities of meaningful daily living, such as vocation, recreation, volunteerism, engagement.• Ensures a positive climate that promotes respect and dignity for people supported.• Provides opportunities for people support to personalize their environment, schedule and experiences in program.• Supports the person’s independence, choice and outcomes.</p>\n<p> Provides prompt, efficient, and personalized support to meet requirements, requests, and concerns.Regulatory</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Provide habilitation services to each client as prescribed in their service plans (CFA, Individual Service plan, Habilitation plan).</p>\n<p>• Responsible for overall functioning of the facility during the absence of the Program Director.• In the absence of the Program Director, supervises and instructs all Direct Support Professionals on shift.• Responsible for people supported and agency funds and expenditures during shift (petty cash, recreation etc.).• Ensures coverage of a shift when a Direct Support Professional is absent.• Acts as a functioning member of the staff, meeting the needs of the people supported• Responsible for the physical condition of the program including agency vehicles; ensuring that they are maintained in a safe and sanitary condition.• Participates in staff meetings, supervisors’ workshops, interdisciplinary team (IDT) and committee meetings.• Channels approved information pertaining to staff and agency to Program Specialists.• Provides supervisory counseling and discipline to Direct Support Professionals as necessary• Identifies facility needs and makes the relevant staff aware.• Ensure optimal utilization of the resources available in order to achieve efficiencies.Quality Improvement• Carries out policies and procedures of SUS, in accordance with OPWDD and other funding sources.• Reports all incidents, ensuring consistent adherence to OPWDD and agency policies• Assesses and monitors staff productivity on an ongoing basis.• Responds appropriately to community, family and agency contacts.• Maintains, develops and supports the person support to staff assignment• Meets with Program Director on a regular basis to discuss pertinent shift and Direct Support Professional’s issues and successes.• Monitors Direct Support Professional’s time sheets on an as-needed basis.• Ensure fire drill completion on shift.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Benefits Overview: </strong>We offer attractive compensation with comprehensive benefits including: Medical/Dental/Prescription/Vision/Life Insurance;403(b); Credit Union; FSAs; Short-and-Long-Term Disability; Transportation Plan; Generous Paid Vacations and Holidays</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE• High School Diploma or approved equivalent.• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in Intellectual Disabilities/IDD or related field• Effective written and oral communication skills.</p>\n<p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS• SCIP-R; CPR & First Aid is required.• AMAP certification is required</p>\n<p><strong>Note:</strong> S:US will provide on-the-job training for such certifications.</p>\n<p><strong>SUS IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER</strong></p>\n<h2>Company Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>S:US IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER</strong> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Join a team of employees who care about the wellbeing of others.
