About Harvest Moon Baking Company
Harvest Moon Baking Company (HMBC) was born in 2006 in Denver, Colorado. What started as a homegrown bakery has stayed true to old-school baking traditions ever since. We use pure, simple ingredients with no artificial preservatives, focusing on quality, consistency, and craft in everything we make.
As we celebrate 20 years of baking, we're proud of how far we've come and grateful to the partners who've grown with us along the way.

Summary
The ultimate responsibility of our Bakers are to ensure the highest quality finished product as per HMBC standards. All bakers are responsible for using their understanding of ingredients and food preparation to follow recipes and create consistent baked bread. Bake Team Members must follow food, health, and safety regulations. Previous baking experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment is preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
· Adhere to bun, hoagie, and loaf bread bake procedures.
· Must be proficient in proofer procedures.
· Must be proficient in scoring techniques
· Must be proficient in egging techniques
· Keep a watchful eye when products are baking to ensure quality standards are met
· Must be proficient in oven operations
· Inspect products for quality and accuracy prior to baking
· Prep workstations with all ingredients and baking equipment
· Rotate through different job tasks as necessary
· Proper use of PPE's throughout each shift
· Demonstrate safe use of ovens, proofers, and oven carts
· Ensure the cleanliness of workstations
· P roficiency completing all required production documentation
· Adhere to the company’s workplace safety standards.
· Adhere to the company’s attendance policy.

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required Previous work experience in food production or manufacturing required Work Environment
This position operates in a food production facility. Regular exposure to varying temperatures (hot/cold/freezing), fumes, vapors, industrial baking equipment and noise will be a constant occurrence.
The nature of production work requires that the Baker possess certain physical abilities. Those listed here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform this job. Most of the workday is spent standing or walking and working in close proximity to others, along with baking equipment. Eye-hand coordination, depth perception and functional vision and speech perception are required. Bending, crouching, pushing/pulling and lifting/lowering of 20-50lbs. Repetitive motions with hands, wrists and arms. Must be able to operate all equipment within a production facility. Some exposure to skin irritants, electrical equipment and sharp Instruments. Risk to these exposures are in accordance to company standards, policies and procedures.
