The teacher will play a crucial role in helping students develop attitudes, skills, and content knowledge in mathematics, contributing to their growth as mature, able, and responsible Christians.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Plan and implement high-quality instruction following the prescribed scope and sequence, integrating biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum and classroom activities.</li><li>Establish learning objectives consistent with student instructional needs, curriculum framework, and knowledge of human growth and development in the specified content.</li><li>Create a culturally responsive classroom environment that encourages student involvement in the learning process and enables each student to achieve learning objectives.</li><li>Select and use appropriate instructional strategies, including but not limited to, whole group and small group instruction, multi-tiered group activities, group discussions, demonstrations, modeling, and multimedia teaching aids.</li><li>Participate in regularly scheduled collaborative planning meetings with colleagues and administrators, developing lesson units using prescribed planning tools.</li><li>Evaluate student progress using appropriate assessment techniques and tools on a regular basis, maintaining accurate grade records to comprehensively understand each student&rsquo;s progress.</li><li>Attend and actively participate in staff/faculty meetings and professional development sessions.</li><li>Maintain order and discipline in the classroom conducive to effective learning, taking necessary safety precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.</li><li>Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and students regarding student progress.</li><li>Demonstrate effective communication skills and positive interpersonal relations with students, parents, staff, and the community.</li><li>Plan and oversee purposeful assignments for paraprofessional educators, student teachers, and volunteers, when applicable.</li><li>Perform non-teaching duties to support and assist students throughout the day.</li><li>Cooperate with administration in implementing all policies, procedures, and directives governing the operation of the school.</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Passion for education and dedication to serving the Christian community.</li><li>Membership, in good standing, of a local Bible-believing church, or willingness to become a member.</li><li>Agreement with our articles of faith and a commitment to uphold them.</li><li>Gracious and Christ-like demeanor, particularly in challenging situations.</li><li>Understanding and appreciation for the ministry and mission of PGCA.</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to individuals&#39; needs.</li><li>Eligibility for MSDE teacher certification in the appropriate field; prior teaching experience is preferred.</li><li>Knowledge of the teaching/learning/assessment process and technology for instruction and assessment in the field of specialization.</li><li>Knowledge of school organization, curriculum, teaching techniques, current trends, research, and materials of instruction in the field of specialization.</li><li>Excellent oral and communication skills and ability to work effectively with students, parents, colleagues, administrators, office staff, and other members of the school community.</li><li>Ability to work with diverse populations and provide instruction that reflects multiple perspectives and multicultural education.</li><li>Personal appearance that is a Christian role model of cleanliness, modesty, professionalism, and agreement with school policy.</li></ul><p><strong>EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&#39;s degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the applicable field of education required.</li><li>A minimum of one (1) year of successful teaching experience required.
