    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">JOB DESCRIPTION: Roofing Estimator- Florida Region</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Summary of Responsibilities  </span></p>\n<p>Roofing Estimators are responsible for evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that we know everything required to successfully bid and win the project.</p>\n<p>Roofing Estimators also work with the Sales Management teams to follow-up on bids and budgets to close new business.  Follows all company SOP’s.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Bid Administration </span>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepares and maintains status of plan reproduction with the help of estimating coordinators</li>\n<li>Solicits and maintains communication with subcontractors and vendors</li>\n<li>Prepares subcontractor bid packages with the help of estimating coordinators</li>\n<li>Stays properly informed of addenda related to the project</li>\n<li>Submits 100% of bids and budgets by the bid deadline</li>\n<li>Enters all relevant information into the EDGE</li>\n<li>Uses DF Template for proposals to ensure uniformity across the company</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Project Knowledge </span>\n<ul>\n<li>Review bid requirements thoroughly</li>\n<li>Has a thorough understanding of the required scope</li>\n<li>Develops RFI's and clarifications</li>\n<li>Performs a comprehensive estimate</li>\n<li>Include value-engineering ideas if applicable</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Follow up &amp; closing</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Consistently follows up on submitted roof bids and budgets and provides update correspondence utilizing DF</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Project turnover </span>\n<ul>\n<li>Properly turns over bid documents and sub buyout information to Project Management in per the Handoff SOP</li>\n<li>Review drawings with Project Management team and highlight areas of concern</li>\n<li>Review job cost with Project Management team</li>\n<li>Complete project handoff form to ensure compliance</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Subcontractor award</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Thoroughly checks requirements to buy the proper roof scope</li>\n<li>Awards subcontracts before the time of the hand-off meeting</li>\n<li>Provide subs with as much information as possible</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
