Unlike larger organizations, our engineers work directly across design, build, integration, and technical problem-solving.</p>\n<p>This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy designing and maturing real hardware in CAD, solving practical mechanical problems, and working closely with fabrication, assembly, and integration teams.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Primary Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design mechanical components, assemblies, fixtures, and support hardware in SolidWorks for defense and aerospace applications</li>\n<li>Develop detailed, manufacturing-ready CAD models and engineering drawings from technical requirements, analyst inputs, and engineering concepts</li>\n<li>Collaborate closely with analysts, engineers, designers, machinists, and technical staff to mature concepts into buildable hardware</li>\n<li>Evaluate mechanical fit, function, tolerances, manufacturability, and assembly considerations during design development</li>\n<li>Develop and maintain CAD models and product definition inputs that support drawing production</li>\n<li>Participate in drawing release, revision control, and engineering change processes using company product definition standards</li>\n<li>Support prototype builds, hardware integration, troubleshooting, testing, and installation activities to ensure design intent is achieved</li>\n<li>Participate in technical and peer design reviews and contribute practical engineering solutions to mechanical design challenges</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related engineering discipline</li>\n<li>5+ years of experience designing mechanical hardware and assemblies in SolidWorks</li>\n<li>Strong proficiency creating manufacturing-ready CAD models and engineering drawings</li>\n<li>Working knowledge of GD&amp;T, tolerance considerations, and mechanical drawing standards</li>\n<li>Experience designing mechanical assemblies intended for fabrication, integration, or field use</li>\n<li>Strong practical mechanical problem-solving skills and engineering judgment</li>\n<li>Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a clearance</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with SolidWorks Product Data Management (PDM)</li>\n<li>Familiarity with ASME Y14.100, Engineering Product Definition and Related Documentation Practices</li>\n<li>Experience supporting prototype builds, hardware integration, troubleshooting, or installation</li>\n<li>Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries</li>\n<li>Familiarity with machined parts, welded structures, sheet metal, precision assemblies, or electromechanical packaging</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is a full-time salaried position with highly competitive compensation based on experience and skills, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career growth.
