    "description": "<h2>Salary</h2>The salary range for this position is CAD $32.84/Hr. - CAD $41.35/Hr.\n<h2>Job Accuracy Posting Flag</h2>The hours of work, including start and stop times, days off, work area and work site may be subject to change consistent with operations requirements and applicable provisions of the Collective Agreement and statutes. **Testing may be required. ***A criminal record check may be required\n<h2><p>Summary</p></h2>\n<p>Providence Health Care is accepting applications for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join their harm reduction-driven team at Crosstown Clinic, the first clinic in North America to offer medical-grade heroin (diacetylmorphine) and the legal analgesic hydromorphone within a supervised clinical setting to chronic substance use patients, supported by an on-site pharmacy and an interdisciplinary care team composed of doctors, nurses, social workers and substance-use disorder counsellors. We also offer life-skills counselling, housing referrals and direction to legal assistance.</p>\n<p><strong>The role:</strong></p>\n<p>Reporting to the Patient Care Manager or Resident Care Manager and working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing nursing care to an assigned group of patients/residents according to established policies and procedures and the Standards of Practice for the Licensed Practical Nurses of British Columbia. The LPN functions as an independent practitioner, while recognizing situations such as increased patient acuity or care that falls outside the scope of an LPN as appropriate for accessing the RN/RPN for collaborative support and/or clinical intervention. </p>\n<p><strong>Your duties will include:</strong>  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assists patients/residents in meeting physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs</li>\n <li>Consistent with mission, vision, and values of Providence Health Care (PHC)</li>\n <li>Implements established protocols</li>\n <li>Participates in care planning, assessments, interventions, and evaluations</li>\n <li>Documents information and advocates for patients/residents</li>\n <li>Attends various meetings including care conferences</li>\n <li>Assists with orientation of new staff and students</li>\n <li>Responds to and reports incidents following established procedures</li>\n <li>Performs clerical duties as required </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Minimum Nurse-to-Patient Ratio</h2>Minimum Nurse-to-Patient Ratios (mNPR) set the minimum number of nurses required to safely care for patients on a given unit.
