    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><link href=\"https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/[email protected]/css/froala_editor.pkgd.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\">&nbsp;<link href=\"https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/[email protected]/css/froala_style.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\"><div class=\"fr-view\"><p>Geodesicx is in search of an Electronics Technician I to join our team in Chesapeake, VA supporting contracts in the Hampton Roads area and abroad. &nbsp;This position requires basic knowledge of electrical components and circuits and the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\">Working under the guidance of senior technicians, this role assists with system integration, diagnostics, and repair of equipment aboard Navy and Coast Guard vessels and at shore-based facilities. The position provides hands-on experience using test equipment, interpreting schematics and technical manuals, and developing practical troubleshooting skills for maritime electronic and navigation systems.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong>:</p><ul><li>Assisting in the installation, configuration, and testing of multiple electrical and communications systems onto multiple platforms (e.g. radars, ECDIS, sonar interfaces)</li><li>Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics using standard test equipment such as multimeters, signal testers, and network analyzers</li><li>Support repair and maintenance of electronic and networked systems</li><li>Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to support troubleshooting and installation tasks</li><li>Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance</li><li>Document all work performed, including service reports, troubleshooting steps, and inspection results</li><li>Assist with equipment removal and replacement (R&amp;R) tasks</li><li>Maintain tools, test equipment, and workspaces in accordance with safety standards</li><li>Travel to customer sites, shipyards, and vessels as required</li><li>Must be able to work in a team environment, as well as individually with minimal supervision</li></ul><p><strong>Experience Requirements:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Two (2) years of practical experience, to include: electronics repair, maintenance and checkout.</li><li>Basic understanding of electrical and electronic systems, troubleshooting techniques, and diagnostic procedures</li><li>Familiarity with reading schematics and using technical manuals</li><li>Ability to use standard hand tools and basic electronic test equipment</li><li>Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn in a hands-on environment</li><li>Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances (if applicable)</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and ability to travel</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Experience</strong></p><ul><li data-pasted=\"true\">Familiarity with marine systems (radar, sonar, ECDIS, GPS)</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Experience with network systems, IP configuration, and diagnostics tools</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Prior military or maritime experience</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">OSHA or other relevant safety certifications</li></ul><p><strong>Education Requirements:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Associate degree in electronics, engineering technology, OR</li><li>Four (4) year electronics apprentice program, OR</li><li>Formal electronics training from C level military school in electronics or communications.
