    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking a Senior Estimator to join our Transportation Sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing cost estimates and must have strong knowledge of design and construction disciplines, including the means and methods used on the client's program and other transit infrastructure projects.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Works in the development of all capital cost estimates for CAHSR from planning conceptual level to final design and construction cost estimates.</li>\n <li>Facilitates the development of information used to develop cost estimates with all internal and external stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Supports the development of the bi-annual Programmatic Business Plan capital cost estimates, Program Baselines, and Project Update Reports.</li>\n <li>Supports the review of Contractor estimates and claims.</li>\n <li>Develop policies and procedures for programmatic cost estimating</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Possesses knowledge of design and construction disciplines, including the means and methods used on the CAHSR Program and transit infrastructure projects</li>\n <li>Demonstrates the ability to coordinate and utilize internal and external resources to develop accurate cost estimates within a schedule-driven program environment</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proficiency and knowledge of computer software applications, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and cost management software</li>\n <li>Must have 15+ years of estimating experience with a minimum of 10 years in transit work with a typical project size over $1B</li>\n <li>Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Science/Management</li>\n <li>Professional certification as a cost estimator and/or engineer is preferable</li>\n <li>Work experience on large programs with a proven track record</li>\n <li>Experience in database-driven estimating software (Timberline, Heavy Bid, H C S S , Onscreen Takeoff, etc.)</li>\n <li>Experience with analyzing, reviewing, and estimating change orders, and good negotiation skills</li>\n <li>Ability to produce oral and written presentations to the client and other stakeholders</li>\n <li>Strong work experience with MS Office applications</li>\n <li>Can communicate effectively with different disciplines to obtain the scope of work and other information, and manage the development of estimates</li>\n <li>Ability to read blueprints and generate quantities, work breakdown structure, and scope of work</li>\n <li>Can communicate effectively with different disciplines to obtain the scope of work and other information, and manage the development and review of schedules</li>\n <li>Can create an estimate plan leading to the delivery of a complete estimate complying with program requirements</li>\n <li>Supervision of the junior and mid-level estimators and cost analysts</li>\n <li>Carries out additional responsibilities as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Salary Range: $130K to $200K/yearly</p>\n<p>Location: Sacramento, CA</p>\n<p>Work Environment: Onsite</p>\n<h2>Our Company</h2>\n<p><strong>Cordoba Corporation, Making a Difference</strong></p>\n<p>Cordoba Corporation is a leading civil engineering, construction management, program management, and planning firm.
