    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Opportunity:  Room Service Server</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Set up, deliver, and retrievefood and beverage orders to/from guest rooms and hospitality suites in accordance with established guest service and sustainability standards.</p>\n<p><strong>Potential Career Path</strong>   </p>\n<p>Server – Room Service Supervisor – Room Service Manager</p>\n<p><strong>Essential Job Functions</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Set up and deliver food and beverage orders.</li>\n <li>Conduct floor sweeps and retrieve food and beverage trays.</li>\n <li>Set up and deliver VIP amenities.</li>\n <li>Service hospitality suites in accordance with banquet event orders and established policies and procedure.</li>\n <li>Abide by state, federal and corporate liquor requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.</li>\n <li>Complete shift side work as outlined in the hotel’s operating policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Respond to customer needs, issues, comments and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales.</li>\n <li>Report all communication to immediate shift supervisor.</li>\n <li>Perform cash handling responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.</li>\n <li>Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as requested by management.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Position Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>\n <li>Previous food service experience preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work Environment and Context</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends.</li>\n <li>Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <strong>What We Believe</strong></p>\n<p>People Are Our Capability – Hearts That Serve – Only Excellence – Stay Nimble - Own It</p>\n<h2>About Us </h2>\n<p>Salt Wood Kitchen & Oysterette - the culinary destination of the Monterey area.
