    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Rate of Pay:&nbsp;</strong>$115,000 annually</p>\n<p><strong>Benefits include:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical, vision, dental, and prescription drug insurance</li>\n <li>Life, accidental death and dismemberment insurance</li>\n <li>Short-term and long-term disability benefits</li>\n <li>401(k)&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Employee assistance program</li>\n <li>Sick leave and paid time off</li>\n <li>Paid holidays</li>\n <li>Bereavement, civic duty, and military leave</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Management &amp; Training Corporation operates the&nbsp;<strong>North Central Correctional Complex in Marion, Ohio,&nbsp;</strong>providing residents with excellent care, including medical services supporting their health and well-being.</p>\n<p><strong>Position Responsibilities Include:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides supervision of nursing staff and nursing care.</li>\n <li>Attend sick call with the physicians to see inmates; prepare the examining room and equipment.</li>\n <li>Call the Physician for medication and treatment orders and other emergencies.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Examine and assess inmates with illnesses or injuries, or inmates who become ill or injured; confer with a physician to refer inmates to the emergency room as required by their condition and document in the medical record or other forms as appropriate.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Maintain the current master list of inmates and employees with ongoing CID needs or documented completion of CID services.</li>\n <li>Plan, coordinate, and implement all public health programs required by state codes.</li>\n <li>Perform contact investigation and referral when appropriate. Maintains telephone log.</li>\n <li>Coordinate and conduct CID meetings, ensuring that information is shared with the Health Services Administrator and members of the health services staff.</li>\n <li>Operate pill cart, dispense medications, ensuring all medications are given, recorded, and appropriate laboratory tests are obtained for patients with sexually transmitted diseases as ordered by the physician or midlevel provider.</li>\n <li>Coordinate and ensure that immunizations are administered and recorded.</li>\n <li>Provide health education on an individual or group basis, as required.</li>\n <li>Practice basic cost containment and utilization management for patient care and facility operations.</li>\n <li>Maintain absolute security and confidentiality of all medical records; observe applicable HIPAA rules.</li>\n <li>Comply with all applicable pharmacy laws, especially those covering controlled substances.</li>\n <li>Observe and record inmate behavior, assess and triage with appropriate documentation.</li>\n <li>Inspect the medical unit for items that could be used as contraband by inmates; securely store or safely dispose of supplies and equipment. Control medication, syringes, or other medical supplies.</li>\n <li>Perform work on an on-call basis, as required.</li>\n <li>Provide health counseling and health education on an individual or group basis, as required.</li>\n <li>Assist corporate counsel with responses to inmate lawsuits.</li>\n <li>Facilitate, where applicable, NCCHC/ACA/JCAHO accreditation of the medical program by providing the required level of efficiency and approved, appropriate medical services.</li>\n <li>Prepare and disseminate safety and accident reports as required by policies and procedures; take appropriate action in cases of serious and unusual incidents and emergencies.</li>\n <li>Initiate and complete investigations and inquiries with accuracy, as directed, gather information and evidence, interview and obtain the statements; exercise independent judgment by determining when probable cause exists to recommend disciplinary action.</li>\n <li>Perform rescue functions at accidents, emergencies, and disasters including administering basic emergency medical aid, physically removing people away from<br>\n   dangerous situations, and securing and evacuating people from confined areas.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>College degree in nursing, current, valid nursing license as an RN for the state of Ohio, <strong>and</strong> three (3) years of nursing experience required.</li>\n <li>Must possess current CPR certification.</li>\n <li>Must work within the Ohio state board of Nursing scope of practice.</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license in the state of Ohio with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.</li>\n <li>Must attain and maintain appropriate facility security clearance.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Management &amp; Training Corporation (MTC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
