Description

Description This position is responsible for conducting technical research, development, and testing activities on products and material samples within the Vehicle Refinish Toner Team. The role supports new product development and maintenance of business within the existing toner lines. Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company’s staff, employees, and business relationships. This role is not hybrid and will be located at Sherwin-Williams Morikis Global Technology Center located at 6745 Miller Road, Brecksville, OH 44141. Responsibilities • Works alongside chemists to contribute to on time project goals, including but not limited to sample preparation, sprayouts, and testing. • Maintains strong communication with team members and group leader. • Contributes to the design and execution of experiments, draws conclusions, and makes recommendations. • Complies with test methods according to set standards. • Documents all formulation processes. • Functions with sustained supervision and writes simple reports, outlining procedures used and the results obtained. • Completes the proper forms and documents when necessary. • Attends quality, safety, technical meetings and seminars as necessary. • Complies with all safety and security regulations and maintains a clean work area. • Communicates with internal as well as external customers. • Manages work in accordance with timelines and goals. • Always adheres to company safety and quality standards. • Completes additional duties as assigned. Qualifications BASIC QUALIFICATIONS • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future (e.g., OPT, CPT, H1B, EB-1,etc.) • High school diploma or equivalent if. • Must be at least 18 years of age. • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to determine the difference between colors so you can correctly tint paint to the colors desired by customers. • Must have at least 6 months lab experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • 1+ years of experience in a laboratory • Experience in coating application • Experience with color measurement • Lab equipment knowledge • Color Knowledge Travel Requirements: 10% This position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, including conversion to H-1B visa.
