You'll be part of an agile and dynamic workplace where today's solutions are built for tomorrow's challenges.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The Strategic Sourcing Manager will be responsible for leading the Modular Performance Solutions sourcing activities for all commodities while working collaboratively with Category Managers and other Commodity Managers within the Global Category Sourcing division.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>ln addition to annual initiatives, the key accountabilities of this position are:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead sourcing related activities such as supplier investigation, supplier selection/award, major raw material cost rolls/updating, material master maintenance, supplier documentation maintenance &amp; due diligence requirements</li>\n<li>Manage projects/initiatives from inception to delivery, creating and managing against detailed project plans/schedules</li>\n<li>Leads supplier meetings &amp; participates in relevant project meetings to help define project scope and objectives</li>\n<li>Developing category-specific/project costing models &amp; sourcing strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders. With focused engagement with the Proposal teams.</li>\n<li>Leading global cost reduction initiatives, conducting regular cost benchmarking to ensure cost competitiveness and develop supply risk mitigation strategies.</li>\n<li>Regularly reviews Sourcing policies, procedures and workflows to ensure up-to-date document version and adherence to processes.</li>\n<li>Ensuring full compliance to governance and best practices as it relates to sourcing, supplier selection, cost evaluation, cost change approvals, and supplier selection processes.</li>\n<li>Managing supplier performance by engaging with cross-functional business partners to drive supplier performance improvement initiatives.</li>\n<li>Participating in and supporting new product development initiatives by evaluating new suppliers and supplier capabilities for go-to-market strategies.</li>\n<li>Understanding plant operations and providing critical supply solutions as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We’re Looking For:</span></p>\n<p>To thrive in this role, you should bring:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree Business or Engineering, or equivalent working experience</li>\n<li>College Diploma in Supply Chain Management considered an asset</li>\n<li>Supply Chain Management Certification (SCMP), Institute for Supply Management (ISM) certification, or Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) certification considered a strong asset</li>\n<li>Minimum eight-years’ experience in procurement and category in industrial/ manufacturing sectors</li>\n<li>Minimum five-years’ experience in global sourcing and category management</li>\n<li>Direct experience with high-impact commodities with deep understanding of raw metal alloys, steel fabrications, instrumentation &amp; controls, pumps, valves and 3rd party contract manufacturing is preferred</li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in multi-site settings, including an international supply chain environment</li>\n<li>Hands-on experience developing and implementing best-practices specific to cost management, supplier management, and risk mitigation</li>\n<li>Strong understanding and experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, specifically in an industrial manufacturing setting</li>\n<li>Ability to work well independently as part of a team within a time-sensitive environment</li>\n<li>Exceptional data analytic capabilities</li>\n<li>High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.</li>\n<li>Self-motivated to achieve annual goals and objectives.</li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills and proven people-management experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why Armstrong Fluid Technology?</span></p>\n<p>By joining us, you’ll become part of a global community dedicated to pushing the boundaries of fluid-flow technology.
