The Estimator is responsible for all aspects of the estimating function, including bid analysis, plan review, quantity take offs, subcontractor pricing collection, putting together bid information, and assessment of both winning and losing bids. The descriptions below are representative of, but not limited to, the duties and responsibilities of this position.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Five Key Roles of the Estimator:</span></em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Developing innovative, accurate estimates consistent with Fessler and Bowman’s costs</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Conducts a thorough and detailed project take-off, assembling all quantities, man hour requirements, etc.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Solicits subcontractor and supplier pricing, reviewing prequalification requirements, and determining the best qualified subcontractors</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Identifies project-specific risk issues and the potential impact to Fessler and Bowman, as well as potential strategies to help mitigate those risks</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Reviews project plans and specifications and communicates with project stakeholders and internal resources to confirm the scope of the project</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</span></em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Developing the project plan, the project schedule and the proposal documents for all estimates</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Reviews estimates for other estimating team members</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Supports the determination of whether to pursue a project by participating in the “Go/No-Go” process on complex projects</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Creates complete project budgets once a project is being actively bid</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Assembles documentation and prepares client presentations for proposal submissions</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Other relevant duties as assigned </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Education, Experience &amp; Qualifications:</span></em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent combination of education and experience </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">At least five (5) years of construction experience</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Proficient in using Bid2Win estimating software or similar tool(s) </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Estimating medium-to-large commercial and industrial projects </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Creative and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and self-motivation</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Excellent communication and organizational skills</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\"><span>·       </span></span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals.</span><br></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Travel:</span></em></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\">Travel to and from job sites and office locations is required for this position.
