Opened in 1954 and designed by Morris Lapidus, it was the most luxurious hotel on Miami Beach, and is thought to be the most significant building of Lapidus' career.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Responsible for performing protective and enforcement functions to maintain a safe and secure environment for hotel guests, visitors, and employees. Work is performed in all areas of the hotel. </p> \n<strong><u>Examples of Duties</u><u>, includes but is not limited to the following</u>:</strong>\n<strong> </strong>\n<li>Respond to emergencies, disturbances, undesired conduct, and threats to life and property.</li>\n<li>Respond to assigned calls and initiate necessary reports and/or corrective action.</li>\n<li>Monitor the employee entrance/exit to ensure appropriate property business.</li>\n<li>Answer security telephone and dispatch calls to officers using a two-way radio system.</li>\n<li>Monitor surveillance system, fire alarm system, property access control door alarm system, and other systems in the security control room.</li>\n<li>Consult internally with Company personnel and departments to assure adequate security.</li>\n<li>Guest room door lock and safe repair.</li>\n<li>Conduct fire watch.</li>\n<li>Perform preventative maintenance on Security equipment</li>\n<li>Serve as Lead Officer and supervision of Tier 2 and 3.</li>\n<li>Initiate fire watch when needed.</li>\n<li>Perform other related duties as assigned.</li>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Well organized and demonstrated strong problem solving skills.</li>\n <li>Availability to work in the Overnight shift.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff. </li>\n <li>Bilingual highly desireable.</li>\n <li>High school education or equivalent. College degree preferred.</li>\n <li>Minimum of five (5) years hotel security experience or minimum of two years (2) Security Supervisor/Manager experience or other management experience. Military or law enforcement background preferred.</li>\n</ul>",
