    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p><u>About us:</u></p><p>The DeAngelus Group, PLLC is a well-established, mid-size law firm with locations in Clifton Park and Schenectady, NY, and Bonita Springs, FL. &nbsp;Our primary practice groups offer legal services in real estate transactions; estate planning and administration; business formation and advisory services. &nbsp; Our Trusts and Estates practice is known for its compassionate and personal approach, helping families and individuals through difficult situations with confidence. &nbsp;We are seeking a skilled, and motived attorney to join our team and contribute to our mission.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><u>Job Summary:</u></p><p>We are seeking a hard-working and motivated attorney to handle a wide range of trusts, estate and elder law matters. &nbsp;The successful candidate will work closely with clients to draft wills, trusts and other estate planning documents; oversee the administration of probate and trust administration; and provide counsel on elder law issues such as Medicaid, guardianship, and long-term care options. &nbsp; This role requires a deep understanding of New York State and federal laws, and a commitment to advocating for the client&rsquo;s best interest in a compassionate way. &nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><u>Key Responsibilities:</u></p><ul><li>Draft, review and finalize estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney and healthcare proxies.</li><li>Provide legal advice and oversee probate and trust administration, including preparing court filings, inventories and accountings. Court appearances as needed.</li><li>Assist clients with elder law matters, including Medicaid eligibility, asset protection, and guardianship proceedings.</li><li>Conduct client consultations to assess needs and develop personalized legal strategies.</li><li>Stay current on relevant NYS and federal laws, regulations, and case law, including tax laws and tax-related planning techniques.</li><li>Collaborate with paralegals and other attorneys to ensure seamless case management.</li><li>Represent clients in court or administrative proceedings as needed. &nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><u>Basic Qualifications:</u></p><ul><li>Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.</li><li>Active license, in good standing, to practice law in New York State.</li><li>Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in trusts and estates and elder law. &nbsp;That said, we are willing to train the right candidate who has less experience.</li><li>Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Compassionate and client-centered approach to legal practice. &nbsp;Commitment to a positive client experience. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to manage a diverse caseload with attention to detail and deadlines.</li><li>Experience with estate tax planning matters is a plus.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><u>Why Join Us?</u></p><ul><li>Competitive Salary commensurate with experience, and benefits, including health insurance, 401(k) and paid time off.</li><li>Supportive, collaborative environment driven by a desire to provide a positive client experience.</li><li>Opportunities for professional growth and continuing legal education.</li></ul></div></div>\n",
