We’re large enough to compete head-to-head with publicly traded engineering giants, but still small enough to maintain the culture and flexibility of a close-knit team.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Our size and hands-on management style let us move quickly, embrace new opportunities, and empower our people to shape their own careers—without getting lost in corporate bureaucracy.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">You’re a strong fit if you:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Are an enthusiastic and self-motivated environmental professional ready to take on a leadership role.</li>\n<li>Have solid technical experience in contaminated sites management for government and private sector clients.</li>\n<li>Enjoy solving complex environmental challenges and working within a risk-based regulatory framework.</li>\n<li>Take pride in delivering high-quality technical reports and actionable solutions for clients.</li>\n<li>Are naturally collaborative and enjoy mentoring and coaching junior professionals.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">A typical day on the job might look like:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leading the planning and execution of contaminated sites investigations and remediation projects.</li>\n<li>Providing technical guidance and coaching to junior environmental engineers, geoscientists, and technologists.</li>\n<li>Designing and implementing field programs, reviewing sampling plans, and interpreting data.</li>\n<li>Managing project scopes, schedules, budgets, and staff resources to ensure quality and efficiency.</li>\n<li>Reviewing and approving technical deliverables, including phased environmental site assessments (ESAs), remedial options analyses, remediation reports, and other regulatory reports.</li>\n<li>Interpreting federal and provincial environmental regulations and guiding clients toward compliant solutions.</li>\n<li>Coordinating with regulatory agencies and clients to support successful project outcomes.</li>\n<li>Supporting business development through proposal preparation, responses to requests for proposals, and client relationship management.</li>\n<li>Collaborating with GEMTEC’s multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated environmental solutions.</li>\n<li>Maintaining a safe and compliant working environment in all project activities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The good stuff you get:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full-time (37.5 hours per week)</li>\n<li>Complete health &amp; dental coverage including vision, paramedical services, Teladoc<span> and</span><span> </span>Employee &amp; Family Assistance Program when you need it</li>\n<li>Retirement planning made easier with a 5% employer match on your contributions</li>\n<li>Paid time off (vacation and sick days) and an office year-end closure (paid time off between Christmas and the New Year)</li>\n<li>Future potential to become an owner/shareholder</li>\n<li>Year end profit sharing bonus</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Your background and what you bring:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in engineering or geoscience from an accredited institution.</li>\n<li>Registered Professional (P.Eng. or P.Geo.) in Canada with experience in contaminates sites work.</li>\n<li>Demonstrated technical competency in site characterization, data interpretation, and environmental regulatory compliance, with a thorough understanding of provincial and federal regulations related to contaminated site management.</li>\n<li>Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and coach junior professionals.</li>\n<li>Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments effectively.</li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly in English.</li>\n<li>Experience with federal government clients is an asset.</li>\n<li>Technical experience in hydrogeology and/or environmental risk assessment is a plus.</li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel.</li>\n<li>A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.</li>\n<li>Experience with business development and preparing technical and cost proposals.</li>\n<li>A collaborative attitude and desire to help grow GEMTEC’s environmental service line.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Interested individuals, click here to apply:<span> <a href=\"https://gemtec.bamboohr.com/careers/307\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https://gemtec.bamboohr.com/careers/307</a> </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Thank you for taking the time to consider GEMTEC.
