    "description": "<p><span style=\"color: #808080; font-size: 15px\">Reports To: General Superintendent and Construction Executive<br>FLSA: Exempt</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080; font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline\">JOB SUMMARY:</span><br>The Superintendent is responsible for all aspects of jobsite management, including staffing, scheduling, and <br>subcontractor relations. This role oversees the project throughout its lifecycle, from award to completion, <br>ensuring that all construction activities are executed in accordance with project plans, specifications, safety <br>regulations, and quality standards. The Superintendent will professionally represent the company and effectively <br>support strategic initiatives while fostering positive long-term relationships with all business partners, including <br>ownership, design professionals, and subcontractors. This position is critical for ensuring the quality and timely <br>delivery of projects while maintaining a strong focus on safety, environmental compliance, and budget <br>management.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080; font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline\">REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:</span><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Core Duties / Responsibilities:</span><br>• The Superintendent provides overall supervision and support to the jobsite, subcontractors, and field staff <br>to ensure high quality and timely delivery of the project.<br>• Coordinate subcontractors in schedule development to facilitate accurate planning and execution.<br>• Host and/or attend all trade pre-construction and coordination meetings to ensure alignment among all <br>parties.<br>• Coordinate and host all on-site subcontractor coordination meetings to address project needs and <br>challenges.<br>• Lead, implement, and enforce jobsite safety requirements and the company’s Quality Assurance Program.<br>• Create and manage the project schedule, ensuring timely completion of tasks and effective coordination <br>among team members and subcontractors, while communicating with the Project Manager to account for <br>all key activities, impacts, delays, and changes.<br>• Responsible for jobsite documentation, ensuring that legal documents are prepared, distributed, and filed <br>for record keeping.<br>              o Daily reports completed daily, documenting site activities, labor hours, materials used, deliveries, <br>                  equipment used, inspections, safety incidents, delays and any other issues encountered. <br>              o Look-Ahead Schedules to be presented to project ownership<br>              o Quality Control Checklists and Inspections<br>• Safety Program Compliance and Weekly Inspections<br>• Storm Water Compliance – Daily, Weekly and Post Event Inspections<br>• Daily Photo documentation of progress in Procore<br>• Responsible for maintaining an accurate and up-to-date set of working red-lined/as-built contract <br>documents available to all on-site personnel.<br>• Manage all on-site field staff, including supervision of hourly craft and labor.<br>• Coordinate and manage tasks with consideration to cost and schedule constraints.<br>• Conduct reviews as directed by the Construction Executives or General Superintendents to ensure project <br>alignment.<br>• Communicate manpower needs with as much advanced notice as practical to ensure adequate staffing.<br>• Responsible for the professional setup and maintenance of the jobsite, including:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080; font-size: 15px\">            o Office trailer and site logistics<br>            o Required signage and marketing opportunities.<br>            o Housekeeping<br>            o Staging area<br>            o Fencing &amp; Security</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080; font-size: 15px\">• Collaborate with the Project Management team to effectively manage procurement and delivery <br>schedules, as well as change management processes.<br>• The Superintendent has direct authority over on-site field staff and will coordinate with Project Managers <br>on critical project decisions.<br>• Coordinate with subcontractors on all contracted work to ensure compliance with project specifications<br>and schedule.<br>• Additional responsibilities as needed.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education / Experience/ Training:</span><br>• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.<br>• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">• Experience:</span><br>             o A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial construction is essential.<br>             o Preferred: Experience in managing large-scale projects or specific types of construction (e.g., <br>                 multi-family, education, residential, commercial).</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">• Certifications:</span><br>              o Must maintain OSHA 30 certification (minimum) and complete any project-specific safety <br>training as needed.<br>              o Participation in training for ASTA Scheduling and advanced scheduling theory is required.<br>              o Ongoing training for operational software to remain current is expected.<br>              o Additional Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is a plus.<br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">• Skills Development:</span><br>               o Continuous professional development through workshops, seminars, or courses related to <br>                construction management, safety regulations, and industry best practices to be completed at a minimum of once                     annually.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080; font-size: 15px\"><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:</span><br>• Demonstrates strong knowledge of commercial construction and exceptional jobsite management <br>skills; Formulates recovery plans for schedule impacts.<br>• Manage framing operations, coordinating the assembly of structural components to ensure accuracy and <br>adherence to architectural plans.<br>• Supervise concrete placement for foundations, floors, and structural elements, ensuring proper curing and <br>finishing techniques are applied.<br>• Oversee the installation of electrical systems, including implementing lockout/tagout procedures to <br>ensure safety during maintenance and installation, while ensuring compliance with local codes.<br>• Manage drywall installation and finishing processes, ensuring quality workmanship and timely completion <br>to facilitate subsequent trades.<br>• Coordinate painting and finish work, ensuring that all surfaces are prepared and finished to meet <br>aesthetic and durability standards.<br>• Supervise the installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, ensuring proper <br>installation and functionality within the building design.<br>• Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality <br>standards, addressing any deficiencies promptly.<br>• Assist in the management of site logistics specific to vertical construction, including material handling <br>and equipment placement to optimize workflow.<br>• Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations related to stormwater management, implementing <br>necessary measures to control runoff during construction activities.<br>• Support the development of project-specific safety plans, ensuring that all vertical construction activities <br>adhere to safety protocols and regulations.<br>• Facilitate the completion of punch lists specific to vertical construction, ensuring that all final touches and <br>corrections are made before project handover.</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080; font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline\">DISCLAIMER:</span><br>This job description is a summary and not meant to cover or include all tasks, duties, or responsibilities that the <br>employee may be required to perform.
