Come work with a team of engineering professionals dedicated to excellence at Coffman Engineers’ San Diego location.&#xa0;We are seeking an <strong>entry-level</strong> <strong>Structural Engineer</strong> with an interest in pursuing the design of commercial, institutional, and industrial structures for our San Diego office. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, have a desire to work and grow with a multidiscipline engineering team, and be willing to have fun.&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Compensation and Benefits:</strong></p><ul><li>Expected Base Salary: <strong>$80,000.00 to $88,000.00,</strong> depending on education, experience, and licensure.</li><li>Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate.</li><li>Competitive end-of-year discretionary&#xa0;bonus based on company/team/personal performance.</li><li>Hybrid work schedule (subject to change).</li><li>401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching with 9% Employee Contribution.</li></ul><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Perform structural analysis and design of structural members such as beams, columns, walls, joists, and foundations.</li><li>Develop structural models that mathematically define and idealize the actual structure being designed.</li><li>Use approved codes and standards to define structural demands on buildings due to wind and seismic loadings.</li><li>Analyze and design connections of the various structural elements in a building structure.</li><li>Perform analysis needed to evaluate seismic risk in existing buildings using approved structural codes and standards.</li><li>Assist in managing BIM and production efforts.</li><li>Perform other duties as may be assigned.</li></ul>",
