    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong><u>Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Firmware development –&nbsp;80%</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Design and develop control algorithms, features and f/w test processes used across multiple products. Perform unit functional tests and robustness tests. Continuously improve code reusability, execution efficiency and product performance.</li>\n <li>Ensure firmware documentation is accurate and up to date.</li>\n <li>Work with optical, hardware and test engineering teams to continuously improve firmware performance, execution efficiency, and development processes.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Teamwork and supporting –&nbsp;20%</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Coaching junior engineers on firmware developing. Drive coding reviews and practices across team</li>\n <li>Customer, NPI and Manufacturing support</li>\n <li>Responsible for resolving sustaining issues, fixing bugs in legacy products, and implementing new customer-requested features.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Education &amp; Experience</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>University degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science</li>\n <li>8+ years of experience in embedded systems real time control systems development with microcontrollers and FPGA hardware</li>\n <li>Experience in Optical Communication industry is preferred.</li>\n <li>Expert on C++ programming in embedded system, and experience on assembly programming language preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience in Object Oriented design.</li>\n <li>Practical experience across the entire Agile development lifecycle, including continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD), and collaboration through DevOps practices.</li>\n <li>Experience in lab bench debugging tools oscilloscopes, logic analyzers.</li>\n <li>Should be able to work and deliver on an aggressive schedule.&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Skills</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge and experience on NIOS, ARM and GNU tool chains.</li>\n <li>Self-starter, highly motivated, dedicated and teamwork oriented.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>The ability to work independently with less guidance from supervisors.</li>\n <li>Creative, analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities</li>\n <li>Knowledge of digital signal processing and control theory, including the design of various filters as well as open-loop and closed-loop control systems.
