Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified%0Aapplicants for their Adjunct English Instructor (High School Dual Enrollment) position,%0Ain the Student and Academic Affairs division. The%0Ainstructor will teach High School Dual Enrollment courses at a high school in%0Athe City of Atlanta. Under general supervision, the instructor will demonstrate%0Athe use of appropriate teaching techniques; demonstrates the use of appropriate%0Atesting and grading procedures, including proper maintenance of grade books and%0Aany other appropriate record-keeping requirements. The instructor will also%0Ademonstrate the effective use of oral and written communication skills and%0Aknowledge of current procedures in mathematics; follows approved curriculum%0Astandards and course syllabi; advises and counsels students and maintains%0Aappropriate advisement records on each students; maintains classrooms in%0Aaccordance with approved classroom plans; attends meetings as required; observes%0Aand enforces the institution’s policies and regulations. The instructor must maintain qualifications%0Afor employment as described by the Technical College System of Georgia Policy%0AManual and accreditation standards; follow rules and regulations as described%0Aby the Technical College System of Georgia Policy Manual and other policies and%0Aprocedures established by the institution. Minimum Qualifications A%0AMaster’s Degree in Mathematics or Master’s degree in a closely related field%0Awith at least 18 graduate hours in Mathematics from a regionally accredited%0Ainstitution. Strong communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills%0Aare required. Two years of teaching experience in an academic setting are%0Arequired.
