We are focused on building teams of honest, dedicated professionals who have a passion for building a better environment for our employees, customers, business partners, and communities.</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\">Job Title</span></strong></p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\">Flux Core Structural Welder</span></strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\"></span></p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\"> </span></strong></p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\">Work Setting</span></strong></p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\">Shop Position</span></strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\"> - Athens, GA</span></p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\"> </span></strong></p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\">Job Summary</span></strong></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\">RAI is seeking full-time, experienced Flux Core Structural Welders for our Athens location.</span></p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\"> </span></strong></p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\">Essential Functions</span></strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\">Adhere to all safety procedures, including wearing all proper PPE</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\">Operate a welding machine to join parts together, utilizing proper techniques for different joint types, positions, and thicknesses</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\">Clean, grind, and prepare metal to ensure proper weld penetration</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\">Accurately interpret drawings and prints to understand the required weld specifications, joint types, and positioning of components</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\">Measure and cut using power tools, plasma cutters, and oxy-fuel torches</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\">Visually inspect welds for defects like porosity, slag inclusions, and undercut</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\">Regularly clean and maintain welding equipment, including the wire feeder and power supply</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\">Must be able to pass a 3G weld test on 1” carbon plate with a backer bar</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\">Education and Experience</span></strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\">3 – 5 years’ experience preferred</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\">Ability to pass an AWS weld test required</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\">Flux core welding experience required</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\">MIG and TIG experience preferred</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\">Stainless steel and aluminum experience a plus</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\"> </span></strong></p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\">Work Environment/Physical Demands</span></strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\">Day Shift Schedule:</span></strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Lato',sans-serif;\"> Typically 6am-4:30pm Monday-Friday, with some Saturdays required.
