Attraction Attendant
Summary/Objective
The Attraction Attendant follows standard operating procedures while ensuring our guests are creating unforgettable moments.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Daily responsibilities are:
Use excellent guest service skills at all times Be empathetic to our guests issues Scans card or armband. Ensure appropriate number of people can get on rides. Ensure children are the appropriate height and age for rides. Latch passengers in securely. Board passengers onto ride. Explain safety procedures to riders. Point out evacuation routes. Operate equipment that starts and shuts down ride. Entice patrons by describing the actions of the ride. Ensure passengers are secured safely. Pull down safety bars, buckle seat belts, or secure harnesses. Inspect equipment to detect wear and tear. Perform minor and major repairs. Oil and lubricate parts as needed. Stop vehicle and de-board passengers in case of emergencies. Provide assistance to patrons entering and exiting ride. Shut down ride if major repairs are needed. Space rides operated in cars or sections to avoid danger of collisions. Clean up debris around ride. Keep an eye on patrons and their movements to ensure they are not in any danger. Ensure guest follow rules or remove disorderly, obnoxious, or sick people from rides. Enforce all safety regulations by following all Standard Operating Procedures. Report guest incidents to manager on duty Report crew member injury to manager on duty Work together with crew to contribute to a positive work environment.
Work Environment
This job operates primarily in outside work environments. This role requires work during hot and cold temperatures at times.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an crew member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the crew member is regularly required to talk or hear. The crew member is frequently required to stand; walk; bend; use hands to handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. In some cases, crew member may be required to run. Could lift up to 75lbs at least weekly.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a part time position and hours of work and days are determined by the General Manager. Evenings, weekends and some holidays are required as job duties demand.
