          "text": "<p><strong>Any single position may not be assigned all duties listed below, nor do the examples cover all duties that may be assigned.</strong></p><ul><li>Prepare and maintain City recreational fields to ensure sporting events run smoothly and comply with established guidelines, rules and regulations</li><li>Drag, rake, chalk, line and set bases for recreational fields as necessary</li><li>Daily general maintenance of parks, trails and facilities</li><li>Clean and maintain restroom and picnic shelter complexes</li><li>Gather and dispose of litter</li><li>Operate hand, power and automotive equipment while exercising safety precautions to avoid obstacles and people</li><li>Operate various tools including, but not limited to, shovel, rake, weed eater, mower, blower, specialized baseball equipment</li><li>Assist in preparing facilities and setting up and taking down equipment for department programs and events</li><li>Provide assistance and support to other Parks maintenance staff as needed</li><li>Inspect fields, facilities and equipment after events to identify and assess damage; notify supervisor of property damage; prepare related records.</li><li>Communicate with City personnel, outside agencies and members of the community to exchange information and resolve issues or concerns</li><li>Communicate feedback between participants and supervisor</li><li>Answers public questions regarding facilities</li><li>Perform maintenance of equipment, supplies, and facilities and other custodial duties</li><li>Maintain compliance with all applicable City, County and State laws and City ordinances, policies and procedures at all times</li><li>Assist patrons when needed</li><li>Maintain proper storage and upkeep of equipment</li><li>Attends all staff meetings as required</li><li>Wears proper safety equipment necessary for the job</li><li>Contributes to a positive team environment</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>",
