For more than 60 years, Hamilton has been satisfying customer needs by combining quality materials with skilled workmanship, ensuring the highest level of performance of every precision fluid measuring device we manufacture.\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The Buyer - Direct / Indirect Materials is responsible for purchasing direct materials for their assigned commodities per MRP requirements from approved suppliers. Purchase Indirect, MRO materials thru purchase requisitions. Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure supply and drive cost efficiencies. Review order action report and take appropriate actions</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Negotiate costs, evaluate and maintain inventory to target safety stock levels</li>\n <li>Work with accounting to set up new suppliers</li>\n <li>Coordinate with accounting to resolve invoice discrepancies</li>\n <li>Proactively manage P.O’s for accuracy including costs and confirmed delivery dates</li>\n <li>Continually review D365 released approved requisitions report. Resolved any discrepancies and convert to purchase order within 48 hours.</li>\n <li>Proactively resolve production shortages and provide updates to affected groups</li>\n <li>Review assigned NCR’s and process returns to suppliers in a timely manner </li>\n <li>Monitor suppliers lead time and update system as required</li>\n <li>Proactively communicate with requestor on status of requisition P.O</li>\n <li>Build strong cross functional relationships and communication with intercompany departments supported by purchasing</li>\n <li>Perform other related duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.</li>\n <li>Experience in Indirect and Direct Material Purchasing</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment</li>\n <li>Must have strong written and oral communication skills; must be able to read, comprehend written correspondence and reports; must be able to communicate with multiple levels of staff and management throughout the organization.</li>\n <li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Word, Excel, and outlook.
