The Medical Assistant will support providers with patient care, clinical procedures, and daily office operations in a fast-paced environment.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Room patients, verify patient information, and obtain vital signs</li>\n <li>Assist providers during exams and procedures</li>\n <li>Prepare procedure trays, instruments, and equipment</li>\n <li>Administer injections and assist with patient treatments</li>\n <li>Collect and process lab/pathology specimens</li>\n <li>Educate patients on treatment plans and wound care</li>\n <li>Maintain inventory, supplies, and equipment sterilization</li>\n <li>Document patient care accurately in the EMR</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standards</li>\n <li>Support clinic workflow and complete other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting</li>\n <li>Ability to obtain vital signs and administer injections</li>\n <li>Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and EMR systems</li>\n <li>Understanding of HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control protocols</li>\n <li>Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills</li>\n <li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment</li>\n <li>Willingness to travel to satellite offices as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Licensure/Certifications/Education</h2>\n<h1>Education and Experience:</h1>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Graduate or GED required.</li>\n <li>Completion of a Medical Assistant Program, Certified Nursing Assistant program <strong>or</strong> completion of a bachelor’s degree program in the pre-med or pre-physician assistant track preferred.</li>\n <li>CPR certified preferred.</li>\n <li>1-2 years of recent experience as a Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, or other clinical patient care experience preferred. </li>\n <li>Previous experience in Dermatology is preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>Physical Requirements:</em></strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Standing and walking for extended periods of time </li>\n <li>Moderate amount of talking, bending, twisting, reaching, and balancing. </li>\n <li>Use of hands and fingers. </li>\n <li>Talking and listening in person and on the telephone. </li>\n <li>Handling of materials such as paper, supplies, etc. </li>\n <li>Lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds. </li>\n <li>Risk of exposure to infectious organisms and the possibility of injury due to chemicals and sharp objects. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Full time employees (defined as regularly working at least 30 hours per week) are eligible for the following benefits:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical, Dental & Vision insurance – effective 1st of the month after date of start</li>\n <li>Short-term and long-term disability, Voluntary life (employee, spouse, and child), Critical Illness, and Hospital Indemnity – Effective the 1st of the month following date of hire</li>\n <li>Company provided Basic Life/AD&D insurance</li>\n <li>Paid time off</li>\n <li>Paid holidays</li>\n <li>Retirement Savings account</li>\n <li>Employee discount on cosmetic services and products</li>\n</ul>",
