Our mission is to be uncompromising in pushing the boundaries of component design and manufacturing for every OEM partner.</strong></p><p>An Electro/Mechanical Assembler role is responsible for building electronic components to specifications while ensuring that high quality products are delivered globally to meet VJX&rsquo;s stringent quality and safety standards.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Job Description</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Fabricate complete cable and harness assemblies, via wire selection, cutting, stripping, crimping and tinning of wire per product design specifications, schematics, wire lists and IPC standards</li><li>Populate and solder electronic assemblies with through-hole and surface-mount components</li><li>Populating and soldering PCB&rsquo;s</li><li>Support engineering team in building electronic and mechanical prototypes and test fixtures</li><li>Work from schematics and other engineering documentation&nbsp;</li><li>Follow all VJX and OSHA workplace safety requirements and policies</li><li>Safety Sensitive Position</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Skills</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li><li>Minimum of two (2) years of similar experience in a technical environment</li><li>Understanding of ESD practices&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to identify electronic components</li><li>Proficiency in cutting, stripping, tinning, and crimping cable and harness</li><li>Knowledge of circuit boards, soldering and electronics</li><li>Prior experience soldering through-hole and SMT components</li><li>Ability to read and work from electrical prints, schematics and wiring diagrams</li><li>Ability to use a multi-meter to troubleshoot AC/DC circuits</li><li>Basic computer skills</li><li>Ability to work as part of a team and independently</li></ul><p><strong>Non-Essential Skills</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Formal electronics or MIL-SPEC training</li><li>SMT or other Soldering Certificates</li><li>Experience in a Research and Development environment</li><li>Knowledge of Global Shop Solutions (GSS)</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Physical &amp; Mental Demands</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Regularly required to sit, walk, bend, stoop and stand within an industrial environment</li><li>Will need to repeatedly use hands &amp; fingers to operate basic office equipment and operate hand and power tools standard to a production environment</li><li>Expected to effectively communicate in person, on the phone, via email and other electronic devices on a continual and repetitive basis</li><li>Responsibilities could require lifting, moving, staging, and placing of materials up to 50 pounds alone and heavier with assistance</li><li>Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus</li><li>Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner</li><li>On a regular basis, will be required to:<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li>use written and oral communication skills</li><li>read and interpret data, information and documents</li><li>analyze and solve non-routine and complex office administrative problems</li><li>be creative, make judgements, use reasoning and make decisions</li><li>observe and interpret situations</li><li>learn and apply new information or skills</li><li>perform detailed work on multiple, concurrent tasks</li><li>work under intensive deadlines with frequent interruptions</li><li>interact with internal and external customers holding positions from a wide array of disciplines and organizational hierarchy levels</li></ul></li><li>May need to communicate and effectively manage dissatisfied or frustrated customers and/or interface with difficult/demanding individuals</li></ul><p><em>This job description is not all inclusive and is subject to change at any time.
