All work is performed in accordance with released procedures and assembly drawings and in a clean room environment.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES &amp; PERFORMANCE MEASURES</strong></p><ul><li>Conducting research, creating design proposals, troubleshooting issues, and performing quality control on opto-mechanical systems.</li><li>Designing, analyzing, and testing opto-mechanical systems.</li><li>Developing detailed mechanical and opto-mechanical designs.</li><li>Creating and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.</li><li>Working closely with optical and mechanical engineers to integrate components.</li><li>Performing system analysis to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.</li><li>Conducting performance tests and system integration.</li><li>Collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams.</li><li>Ensuring all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes conform to the organization’s established policies and objectives.</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS &amp; SKILLS</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's in mechanical engineering or equivalent.</li><li>Minimum 10 years‚ performing opto-mechanical design and development optical systems layout, optical systems and geometric tolerancing.</li><li>Experienced in Opto-mechanical engineering, Optical Systems, Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (ASME Y14.5), Handling and securing Unclassified Controlled Information (CUI), ITAR., and designing for precision manufacturing processes.</li><li>Proven technical aptitude with ability to discern technical approaches by asking the right questions of the team and communicate updates across multiple organizational levels.</li><li>Able to make sound decisions by blending analytical thinking with practical judgment</li></ul>",
