Join us in making a real difference in the health of our community.</em></p>\n<h2>Job Summary</h2>\n<p>We are seeking a licensed Podiatry Physician (DPM) or appropriately trained Physician (MD/DO) to provide on-site podiatric care to residents in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. The physician will manage complex foot and ankle conditions, perform procedures, and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>• Provide on-site podiatry consultations in SNF/LTC settings</p>\n<p>• Diagnose and manage foot and ankle disorders including diabetic foot disease, ulcers, infections, and nail pathology</p>\n<p>• Perform podiatric procedures including nail debridement, callus care, wound debridement, and minor surgical procedures as indicated</p>\n<p>• Evaluate gait abnormalities, biomechanical issues, and deformities impacting mobility and fall risk</p>\n<p>• Collaborate with nursing, wound care teams, therapy, and primary providers to prevent complications</p>\n<p>• Educate residents and caregivers on foot hygiene, preventive care, and footwear recommendations</p>\n<p>• Ensure accurate, timely, and regulatory-compliant documentation in EMR systems</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>• Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited school of podiatric medicine OR MD/DO with podiatric scope of practice</p>\n<p>• Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program preferred</p>\n<p>• Active and unrestricted New York State license</p>\n<p>• DEA registration (if applicable)</p>\n<p>• Board Eligible or Board Certified (preferred)</p>\n<p>• Experience in SNF/LTC or post-acute care settings preferred</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>(salary may reflect bonuses/incentives) </p>\n<h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2>\n<p><strong><em>Essen Health care is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and we seek candidates who desire to work in and serve an ethnically diverse population.</em></strong></p>",
