These clients are working to learn tools through educating and counseling to assist in keeping their sobriety through addressing their substance use and the effect is has on their behavior. Our team of counselors work closely with Healthrigjht360 in custody case management program and other in custody programs to assist in building a case plan for a smooth transition back into the community.</p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Counselors are responsible for assessing participants needs and strengths in recovery in an incarcerated jail setting. Counselors assist participants in navigating systems of care while providing a supportive treatment environment. Counselors will provide counseling in an individual (iWeb visit) and group settings, delivering curriculum in accordance with program specific requirements.</p><p>Individual Treatment Responsibilities: Facilitates individual counseling treatment sessions with each caseload participants. Evaluate their progress and provide learning experiences opportunities and offer support in their meeting their treatment goals. Counselors will proactively link participants to both internal and external resources based on their treatment needs and follow up on progress/status.</p><p>Treatment Setting Responsibilities: Works directly with the participants to develop and implement a treatment case plan. In cases of unforeseen situations arise, case conference with treatment team as needed.</p><p>Administration and Compliance: Counselor will maintain accurate records on all participants and daily attendance records. Counselor is responsible for making sure that participants files are in compliance, will adhere to the following paperwork requirements, individual weekly notes (group), iWeb visit notes daily and daily group notes completed on time, initial treatment plan done within 30 calendar days and updated every 30 calendar days.</p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><h2>Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</h2><p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Must possess the following:</p><ul><li>High School Diploma or it&#39;s equivalent GED, Certified AOD counselor. certification recognized by DHCS.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years experience providing SUD services preferably to an offender population.</li><li>Experience working with issues of substance abuse, behavioral, criminal background and other barriers that may hinder client.</li><li>Experience with SUD note documentation and assessments (for example ASI, LS/CMI).</li><li>Culturally competent and ability to work with a diverse population.</li><li>Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.</li><li>Able to pass Healthright360 and Solano County Sheriff&#39;s Department clearance.</li><li>First Aid and CPR required.</li><li>TB testing and health screening required.</li><li>COVID vaccination or exempt status required.</li></ul><p>We will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.</p><p>In compliance with the California Department of Public Health&#39;s mandate, all employees must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
