IRC offers paid summer jobs in Inuvik, NT for students returning to studies in Fall 2026. All positions require you to be between 15 and 30 years old and able to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check. If you’re interested but don’t meet every qualification, we still encourage you to apply.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 85, 165); font-weight: bold\"><em>Available Positions &amp; Requirements</em></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Labourer – Inuvialuit Development Corporation (IDC) Properties</span><br>Maintenance and operational support (painting, repairs, yard work, upkeep of rental units).</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Valid Class 5 Driver’s License</li>\n<li>Willingness for physical/outdoor work</li>\n<li>Punctual, reliable, motivated to learn</li>\n<li>Experience with tools, painting, or maintenance is an asset</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Labourer – Mackenzie Hotel</span><br>General maintenance to ensure hotel safety, cleanliness, and facility upkeep.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reliable, punctual, willing to learn</li>\n<li>Comfortable with physical tasks (lifting, bending, standing)</li>\n<li>Basic understanding of tools and maintenance tasks is an asset</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Housing Assistant – Major Projects</span><br>Support the Elders Repair Program with admin and operational tasks for housing maintenance and repairs.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Interest in housing services, social work, or community support</li>\n<li>Organizational and time-management skills</li>\n<li>Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook</li>\n<li>Respectful communication with elders</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Junior Researcher – Inuvialuit Land Administration (ILA)</span><br>Assist with archaeological fieldwork, excavation, artifact handling, and environmental recording.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Physically able for outdoor fieldwork</li>\n<li>Reliable, dedicated, able to work independently and as part of a team</li>\n<li>First Aid certification is an asset</li>\n<li>Willingness to travel by helicopter and do overnight field stays is an asset</li>\n<li>Interest in archaeology, history, or environmental studies is an asset</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Greenhouse Worker / ICEDO Assistant – Inuvialuit Community Economic Development  Organization (ICEDO)</span><br>Support greenhouse operations and admin, including horticulture, equipment maintenance, and data entry.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Comfortable in warm, humid environments</li>\n<li>Reliable, motivated</li>\n<li>Safe Food Handling certification is an asset</li>\n<li>Experience in gardening, horticulture, or food production is an asset</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Community Cultural Program Assistant – Health &amp; Wellness</span><br>Support summer health and wellness programming, including administrative support, day camps, on-the-land initiatives, and cultural wellness activities.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reliable, adaptable, comfortable with youth and community members</li>\n<li>First Aid certification is an asset</li>\n<li>Strong organizational and communication skills are an asset</li>\n<li>Interest in health promotion, community development, or cultural programming is an asset</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Sports Coordinator – Accounting &amp; Finance</span><br>Plan, organize, and deliver sports and recreational programs for youth.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Interest in event planning or sports coordination</li>\n<li>Organizational and time-management skills</li>\n<li>Reliable, enthusiastic, positive attitude</li>\n<li>Experience in event planning or sports coordination is an asset</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 85, 165); font-weight: bold\">TO APPLY</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Please submit your resume and cover letter (optional) by pressing the <em><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Apply for This Job </span></em>button at the top right of this web page and follow the application steps.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>When you apply you will have the opportunity to indicate which positions you are interested in being considered for.
