We work with some of the largest Fortune 500 chemical, cosmetics and pharmaceutical manufacturers and provide their process engineers and scientists with a next generation AI platform. Our platform provides these engineers with the ability to build digital twins of their production processes in order to accelerate and optimize process development, scale up and quality control. \n\n The Role\n\nSimulation is at the heart of the Basetwo platform, and the science team is looking to bring on an expert in Process Modelling who will be able to make significant technical contributions to our process simulation engine. The Process Modeller will be responsible for developing mathematical models for the Basetwo platform to solve fluid flow and mixing applications in pharma, cosmetics and chemical manufacturing. Our ideal candidate will partner with our Customer’s subject matter experts (SMEs) and our Engineering team to deliver product driven simulation solutions to solve customer challenges.\n\n What You’ll Do\n\nAs a Process Modeller, you will: \n\n Work closely with customer’s SMEs to understand their process challenges, identify technical requirements and implement advanced modeling solutions\n Research, develop and validate mathematical models for real world cosmetics and chemical processes (i.e. emulsions, multi phase mixing etc.) \n Contribute to product development as it relates to process simulation in collaboration with cross functional teams, supporting roadmaps and feature iterations based on customer feedback\n Advocate for best practices among the modeling and simulation team\n Document research activities and model structure in well structured product specification documents\n\n Requirements\n\n What You’ll Need\n\n \nTo be successful in this role you will have:\n\n Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field and 2 4 years of experience, OR Masters or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field and 1 2 years of academic/industrial research experience\n Must have experience in fluid dynamics, rheology, emulsions and population balance modelling\n Ability to develop research grade code in Python leveraging scientific computing libraries\n Demonstrated track record of starting and leading interdisciplinary research and engineering projects\n Experience communicating projects to both technical and non technical audiences\n Experience working on cross functional teams \n Product driven thinking an ability to map customer pain points to product features\n\n Benefits\n\n Benefits\n\n Extended Healthcare Plan (Medical, Disability, Dental & Vision)\n Work From Home Flexible hours\n Stock Option Plan\n Group Life AD&D Critical Illness Insurance\n Co working Space available in Toronto & Vancouver\n\n Compensation Range\n\n CAD $100,000–$130,000 + equity , based on experience.\n\n Interview Process\n\n1\\.
