Position may require evening, weekend, and shift work and requires availability to respond to emergencies.</p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><strong>Variable hour schedule - days and times to support the needs of programs</strong></li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: 'comic sans ms',sans-serif;\">Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas:</span></p><p>The Clinical Responder is responsible for assessing children in need of emergency restraint and seclusions, conducting intakes, and assisting campus supervisors with milieu management tasks, as necessary. Position may require evening, weekend, and shift work and requires availability to respond to emergencies.</p><p>Community Safety Skills: Assesses risk and safety issues as they relate to milieu programming, acuity of clients, staffing and environmental conditions; is able to order for restraints or seclusion that extends beyond the age/time limits must be received from the doctor by the QMHP.</p><p>Crisis Intervention Skills: Perform intensive crisis interventions, leads, collaborates with, and directs staff during interventions, conducts assessment of suicide and homicide risk and creates safety plans as appropriate.</p><p>Assessment Skills: Conducts face to face assessments of the physical and psychological well-being of clients within one hour of the initiation of the emergency safety intervention.</p><p>Clinical Support Skills: Supports milieu operations by participating in management of critical incidents, debriefs of incidents with staff and clients. Engages with milieu leadership in assessing use of skills, techniques, and milieu management.</p><p><span style=\"font-family: 'comic sans ms',sans-serif;\"><strong>About you: &nbsp;</strong></span></p><ul><li><em>Requires a master&rsquo;s degree in psychology, sociology, education or related human services field or a licensed RN</em>. <u>Must be a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)&nbsp;</u>as determined by the Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR&rsquo;s) and/or the Oregon Mental Health Division.</li><li>Engagement with families, clients, community team members, and all levels of internal staff and clinical team members</li><li>Understanding dynamics of Clinical Responder role in relation to engagement with clinical support of campus</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: 'comic sans ms',sans-serif;\">Preferences (not a must) -</span></p><ul><li>Previous clinical experience</li><li>Positive approach to engagement with clients and staff</li><li>Willingness to innovative approaches and provide feedback to clinical team.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: 'comic sans ms',sans-serif;\"><strong>About us:</strong></span></p><p>We embrace diversity and equality in a serious way.
