At Arnold, we have assembled the most comprehensive machinery support team in the western United States. There is nothing in our inventory as valuable as the associates who carry our reputation into the marketplace. With the training we provide, the Shop Service Technician helps Arnold to keep that standing. </strong></p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Essential duties and responsibilities</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Disassemble, clean, and reassemble all heavy equipment</li>\r\n\t<li>Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise</li>\r\n\t<li>Maintains a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust, and mop. Organize work area for orderliness at all times</li>\r\n\t<li>Perform routine light maintenance on equipment (cleanliness, pre-inspection, etc.)</li>\r\n\t<li>Repairing and maintaining heavy equipment</li>\r\n\t<li>Ability to use a forklift and overhead crane to handle and move components and parts during the repair process</li>\r\n\t<li>Measure and identify parts and components for reusability or replacement, ordering new parts as required</li>\r\n\t<li>Use all test and diagnostic equipment available to make adjustments to machines and systems</li>\r\n\t<li>Make warranty recommendations and reports in representation of a prime product</li>\r\n\t<li>Perform minor welding, fabrication, plumbing alignment</li>\r\n\t<li>Willingness to help out in other areas of the shop based on workload</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Qualification requirements</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>High School diploma or equivalent preferred</li>\r\n\t<li>1-2 yrs previous experience preferred</li>\r\n\t<li>Good communication, organizational, time management mathematical skills</li>\r\n\t<li>Dependable and Reliable</li>\r\n\t<li>Equipment maintenance, data entry, and computer skills may be required</li>\r\n\t<li>Ability to safely operate a forklift and overhead crane</li>\r\n\t<li>General mechanical knowledge</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Physical Demands and Working Conditions: </strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Walking and moving about on foot often through uneven terrain</li>\r\n\t<li>Lifting over 50 lbs. frequently</li>\r\n\t<li>Hands/arms operating equipment, hand, and power tools</li>\r\n\t<li>Raises or lowers miscellaneous equipment parts and tools</li>\r\n\t<li>Extends hands and arms in any direction</li>\r\n\t<li>Climbing in and out of equipment</li>\r\n\t<li>Read work tickets, parts, and service books and operate heavy equipment</li>\r\n\t<li>Communication by radio, phone, and in person</li>\r\n\t<li>Hears well enough to discern mechanical problems for safety in and around shop and mining sites and to receive communication by radio, phone, and in-person</li>\r\n\t<li>Sits in equipment and vehicles</li>\r\n\t<li>Lies in a prone position under vehicles and equipment</li>\r\n\t<li>Ability to work in different weather</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Benefits offered:</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Paid Sick Leave</li>\r\n\t<li>Paid Vacation</li>\r\n\t<li>Paid Holiday</li>\r\n\t<li>The company currently pays 100% of the medical premium for associates and family</li>\r\n\t<li>Dental and Vision plans</li>\r\n\t<li>401K/Roth with company match</li>\r\n\t<li>Quarterly and Yearly Bonus programs</li>\r\n\t<li>Company Stock received to associates with 5+ years of service</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p>NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
