We even offer pet insurance for your four-legged family members.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Early access to earned wages with Daily Pay, tuition reimbursement to help further your career and adoption assistance to help you grow your family.   </li>\n</ul>\n<p>With a collective goal to champion a culture of belonging where everyone feels valued and respected, we honor the ways people are unique and embrace what brings us together.   </p>\n<p>And, we believe equipping you with support and development opportunities is a vital part of delivering an exceptional employment experience. </p>\n<p>Find a fulfilling career and make a difference with UnityPoint Health.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Evaluate patients' respiratory conditions by conducting physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.  </li>\n <li>Administer respiratory therapies including medical gas delivery, nebulization, chest physiotherapy, airway management, and mechanical ventilation (invasive and non-invasive) for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and neonatal patients.  </li>\n <li>Perform diagnostic testing such as arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and analysis, pulmonary function testing, and pulse oximetry  </li>\n <li>Monitor patient physiological responses to treatments and adjust care or escalate concerns as appropriate.  </li>\n <li>Manage artificial airways and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to ensure patient safety and therapy effectiveness.  </li>\n <li>Active member of the medical emergency response teams.  </li>\n <li>Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in the patient electronic medical record (EMR.).  </li>\n <li>Communicate and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams regarding patient status and therapy plans.  </li>\n <li>Provide assistance with internal patient transports.  </li>\n <li>Provide patient and family education on respiratory pathophysiology and pharmacologic therapies.  </li>\n <li>Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment.  </li>\n <li>Perform routine cleaning and disinfection of respiratory therapy equipment.  </li>\n <li>Serve as a preceptor and mentor for respiratory therapy students and new staff.  </li>\n <li>Participate in departmental and multidisciplinary committees focused on quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical outcomes.  </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program required. </li>\n <li>Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program required.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>None. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>License(s)/Certification(s):</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have current licensure in good standing to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in State(s) of Practice required. \n  <ul>\n   <li>RCPIL </li>\n   <li>RCPIA </li>\n   <li>RCPWI </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required. </li>\n <li>Mandatory Reporter required within 90 days of hire. \n  <ul>\n   <li>MRCDAIA </li>\n   <li>MRCHILDIA </li>\n   <li>MRDEPADULTIA </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire. </li>\n <li>Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of hire. </li>\n <li>Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 90 days of hire. </li>\n <li>Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred within 180 days of hire. </li>\n</ul>",
