    "description": "<p>Shatin Anglican Church (STC) is seeking a part time staff member to lead our children’s ministries.  The job is expected to be 20 hours during the week, plus 4 hours on Sunday mornings. The weekly hours are flexible.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Our Church</span></p>\n<p>Shatin Anglican Church is an international, English-speaking evangelical church of about 200 weekly attending members. We’re a diverse and vibrant church in the heart of New Territories in Hong Kong. We are a daughter church of St. Andrew’s Church in Kowloon, and a church in the Diocese of Eastern Kowloon.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Purpose</span></p>\n<p>The Director will oversee a growing children’s ministry at STC and work together with other members of the staff in leading the congregation. Currently weekly attendance for children’s ministry is between 30 to 60. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">General Requirement:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Godly character and self-motivated</li>\n<li>Experience in running children’s program and working with volunteers</li>\n<li>Able to recruit and train leaders</li>\n<li>Genuine love for children and children’s ministry</li>\n<li>English speaker with excellent communication skills; Chinese skills are helpful but not mandatory</li>\n<li>Excellent organizational and administrative skills</li>\n<li>Theological training is preferred but not required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Children’s Work Details</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Being responsible for all the activities for 0-11 year olds in the church</li>\n<li>Teaching and assisting on Sundays (Kingdom Kids and Family Focus)</li>\n<li>Recruiting, coordinating, and training volunteers.</li>\n<li>Carrying out administrative responsibilities in leading the ministry and providing admin and backend support for Sunday School teachers.</li>\n<li>Keeping child protection policies up to date and training volunteers in the church's policy</li>\n<li>Planning and organizing All Age Services together with the Director of Youth Ministry</li>\n<li>Managing Tea and Tots, the playgroup for 0-3s with volunteers</li>\n<li>Overseeing the annual curriculum in consultation with related staff and feedback from volunteers</li>\n<li>Being part of the staff team</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Accountability</span></p>\n<p>He/she will be directly accountable to the minister-in-charge. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duration</span></p>\n<p>Initially, the contract will be for two years.  However, our hope is that the right person could stay on for several years. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Salary and Conditions</span></p>\n<p>Salary for the staff will depend on experience and qualifications.
