Our advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and industry expertise transform our unparalleled data into unique insight delivered through data and analytics services, news and commentary, and publications.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We have teams working across the globe in data and analytics, product management, editorial and market analysis, technology, marketing, sales, and customer success.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Lloyd’s List has an exciting opportunity for a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Deputy Editor/Analyst - </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">APAC</span>, working in an editorial team that spans the world</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is a full-time, permanent role and will report to the <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">APAC </span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Editor, Lloyd’s List</span>.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Role Profile </span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop Lloyd’s List’s maritime expertise in Asia</li>\n<li>Help set the agenda of Lloyd’s List’s coverage of international shipping through daily insight, features and analysis.</li>\n<li>Work closely with the APAC Editor and Editor in Chief in creating and developing high quality, primarily data-led analysis to the high standards of Lloyd’s List’s editorial guidelines.</li>\n<li>Raise the profile of Lloyd’s List Intelligence through representation at events and conferences</li>\n<li>This role is based on a balanced working model between home and our office in Singapore</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities </span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with the APAC Editor and Editor in Chief to take a leading role in the strategy, planning and creation of daily insight and analysis, special reports, webinars, podcasts and other content formats</li>\n<li>Be a subject matter expert who is comfortable speaking authoritatively at Lloyd’s List events, conferences, client briefings and at internal meetings, either as a presenter or moderator</li>\n<li>Create original content for Lloyd’s List content channels, with a focus on the maritime sector in Asia</li>\n<li>Help manage and guide a local editorial team</li>\n<li>Utilising data, analytics and visualisation tools (like Tableau or Power BI) to draw insights and communicate findings</li>\n<li>Deputise for the APAC Editor and make editorial decisions, as and when required</li>\n<li>Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the commercial success of Lloyd’s List Intelligence</li>\n<li>Support events on the editorial calendar</li>\n<li>Attend local and/or international news conferences, industry events, webinars, conference calls, when required.</li>\n<li>Develop and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What we are looking for:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential </span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of three years’ experience in senior level reporting, or in a similar role such as broker reporting, analyst or researcher in the maritime industry</li>\n<li>Knowledge of the shipping industry and how today’s geopolitical landscape is reshaping global trade.</li>\n<li>Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks daily and meet tight deadlines</li>\n<li>High proficiency in written and verbal English</li>\n<li>A team player and problem-solver who works collaboratively across the organisation</li>\n<li>Advanced communication skills to engage with both colleagues and industry C-suite executives</li>\n<li>Proficiency in MS office suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Desirable </span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong analytical skills: Collecting, validating, managing, and analysing data from various primary and secondary sources</li>\n<li>Experience of being a speaker or presenter at events</li>\n<li>Proficiency with Content Management Systems</li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of media law</li>\n<li>Digital editing and production skills including data visualisations, audio and video</li>\n<li>Familiarity with data handling tools like SQL or Python</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>An existing, broad network of industry contacts.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Our Promise to You - Benefits</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Insert country benefits here</li>\n</ul>\n<p>We know that sometimes the 'perfect candidate' doesn't exist, and that people can be put off applying for a job if they don't fit all the requirements.
