Discover all the possibilities of a career at Northside today.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Perform electroencephalogram on neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients of including EEG to assist in the diagnosis of various brain disorders with direct supervision. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</u></strong></p>\n<li>Consults with physicians and checks patient's history.</li>\n<li> Explains procedure to patient and places electrodes in appropriate cranial areas using the International 10-20 system.</li>\n<li>Performs EEG in accordance with standard operating procedures and in accordance with ACNS guidelines.</li>\n<li> Provide detailed observations while recording the EEG.</li>\n<li> Reports need for repairs for the EEG equipment to immedi­ate supervisor.</li>\n<li> Enter charges into computer system to ensure proper billing of patients.</li>\n<li> Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injury‑accident to manager.</li>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>REQUIRED</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<li>Enrolled in a Neurodiagnostics program and must provide letter confirming nine months clinical experience performing EEG studies. </li>\n<p>OR </p>\n<p>Completion of a Neurodiagnostics program.</p>\n<p>OR</p>\n<p>One year supervised on-the-job training experience performing EEG studies in a clinical setting and must provide letter confirming the experience</p>\n<p>OR </p>\n<p>One (1) Year experience performing EEG studies.</p>\n<li>Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support. </li>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>PREFERRED</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<li>Registered by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists (ABRET)</li>\n<li>Completion of a certified EEG program and one year performing EEG studies. </li>\n<h2>Work Hours:</h2>7AM-5:30PM\n<h2>Weekend Requirements:</h2>Yes- Rotating Basis\n<h2>On-Call Requirements:</h2>Yes",
